I'd sterelize the absolute shit out of the water using some chloramine/h202/chlorine/pool shock <--- good stuff. But I would check if your nutrient line is known to cause brown roots. If so, then don't worry, the nutrients really stain those pearly white roots.

Update, but nothing much is happening. The buds seems all right, no mold or anything like that. Just hit the 9week mark of actual flowering(I think I saw the first pistils two weeks after the flip). The calyxes on the buds are indeed swollen, like peas.

My pistils started browning after one month of actual flowering, at first I thought it was pollination but after thorough inspecting I couldn;t see any bananas anywhere. Week 9 now and they are brown everywhere.

Ah damn, if I were to count the days from the emerging of the first pistils I'm right at day 59... so maybe I'll wait another week, the Blue Kush has a 60 day flowering time. Also some of the leaves started turning pruple, so maybe this is a good sign that the end is nigh.

Damn, 5 days? I think Im somewhere at week 10. I think I might as well chop the tops off, I dont want them to rot away or turn into a sleeping pill with all those amber trichs.

Maybe it might be a good idea to take the top most buds and just leave the bottom ones a bit longer, granted there are no amber stripes.

Calyxes as in the female parts? I've noticed a few of then turning white from the frost. Apart from that the trichomes are somewhat milky, it's hard to tell with my rubbish scope, so I'll have to buy a USB type and then double check. I haven't seen any amber heads though. The pistils themselves...
