what do I need to know about wiring?

you will always have the same amps available the volts will be a lot lower on the other end

    is this wrong?

where are the new wires leading to?

Feel Electricity running through air duct??

What could be happening is the fans motor coils are inducting the current into the metal ducts, there could still be those shocking currents in the ducts them selfs, I think grounding them would be the final solution, also this is best practice, in-case a live wire somehow comes lose and touches...

Feel Electricity running through air duct??

Camaro, do the fans have a ground wire, 3 pin connector?

Feel Electricity running through air duct??

Is the ground wire just sitting on the ground just sitting there? I think people must steal them because of the value of copper, quick everybody check your ground stake! Should look like this:

what do I need to know about wiring?

I wouldn't worry too much about a dehumidifier, you would do better just the highest air flow you can get going through the hole. Did you watch the moon shinny episode where they where doing the same thing but to make moon shine.

what do I need to know about wiring?

What possible harm will there be in him knowing how to do this better, it might give him more confidence, yes but surely that would be better then him killing himself doing it the wrong way? I will always help people control electrically safely no matter what, its there lives at stake and this...

what do I need to know about wiring?

pretty much, and use the 15 amp rating, that will just tell you the available voltage on the other end, and multiple that by 15 and there you will have your total available wattage for your setup :)

what do I need to know about wiring?

I don't think you can buy 750 foot extension cords, and I also would not connect 8 100 ft ones together the voltage drop with extension coreds would be way to big: The fact of the matter is, he is going to lose A LOT of the power just in the cord and needs the thickest possible conductors.

what do I need to know about wiring?

You should check the breaker that connects to the bath room, it could be 10 amp, 15, 20? all those points would lead back to the same breaker anyway, so that will not help. You should run the thickest, solid core wire you can and make sure you ground everything. Can you connect the wires...

What would your dream light setup be...if money was no object???

Yes I see your point, but I was taken advantage of the fact that LEDs run off DC power not AC like normal HPS lighting systems and powering the LEDs straight off of stored power in battery's could be more efficient then any other system. So another solution could be slow charging the battery's...

what do I need to know about wiring?

but the supply from one socket is not going to give over the 40 amps you need, are there any other lines you could run off? CFL is what I would recommend for unattended grows, easy to set up and good results, set on/off times for veg and forget, come back in 30 days change the to flower blubs...

What would your dream light setup be...if money was no object???

I would be using the all of the 2000 watts all of the time, any power that is not going directly into the lights will be getting stored for later use, how is that not using the full 2000 watts?

what do I need to know about wiring?

You are going to need more power if you plan on using those lights, I would switch to CFL or LED, the heat will be less of a problem if one of your ventilation fans stops running. So you already have this power cored in place or do you need to run it? Wont someone see you with a 750 foot cable...

what do I need to know about wiring?

I don't think any licensed electrician will install a power box into a dirt hole in your back yard...

What would your dream light setup be...if money was no object???

Also could I spend some money on solar panels as well? That way I could charge with POCO supply or with the sun, then I wouldn't have to pay for anything?

What would your dream light setup be...if money was no object???

I think phase one of my setup would be the DC power supply system, I would buy a few ultra capacitors or battery's and have them charging at the maximum 2000 watt usage when ever the lights are not in use. Then DC power supply system would feed the 2000 watts from POCO into the lighting system...
