why dont we collectively throw down for sphere data?

heyheyheyheyhey as much as I enjoy the bullshit that seems to be thrown through this forum and in the specific threads that it comes up in, could we please just for fucking once remember the name of the thread 'why dont we collectively throw down for sphere data?' Seriously if you want to...

    Lead solder or Lead free

Sweet dude cheers for that! I think I fucked up with the purchase of my heatsinks, they're made for much smaller cobs. CLU058's corners are just over the edge of the heatsinks so I'm gonna go bare and use thermal epoxy/adhesive on the heatsinks hahaha You mentioned before that you used silver...

    Lead solder or Lead free

What gauge wire are you using and any chance of attaching some photos if you're directly soldering to cobs? :D

    any DIY heat pipes?

Lol? Personally I think this would be fucking awesome for a borderline passive setup utilizing less cobs + more watts per cob I probably wouldn't be making shit like that though, I'd just go with some heatsinks from CDI...

Any advice for this closet grow?

If someone is never ever going to come around or be anywhere close to the house then you dont need a carbon filter Otherwise get a carbon filter and a centrifugal fan to match With your closet I would take out most of that shelving and put in a secondary box which houses the...

    Are these leds any good

    Yeah lol, what are these jokers smoking? Even a $15usd LED COB - CLU048-1212C4-353M2K1 @ 2.1amps / 80w is 11,000 lumens

SAFELY ballast a 400w LED cob set for under 20$

Very cool man, I'd love for someone knowledgeable about ballasts to give their opinion Surely it can't be this easy? What about wattage limitations or is having the correct voltage the only concern?

    Citizen COBs with suplementation ssl80

Im super excited, If you're going with 4 cobs you could go with the 1825's instead as they'll be slightly more efficient at 100-150w How are you gonna set up the ssl80's, in a ring around the cobs or in straight lines?

    Citizen COBs with suplementation ssl80

Man loving that heatsink/cob/ambient heat output test, really need some more of those tests done around here :D How many of each 3t-4t / 3s-4s SSL80's were you going to use per cob?

    Citizen COBs with suplementation ssl80

Hey rx, I was curious what lenses you would use with a CLU058-1825 @ 1050a - 2.1a+ I'm mainly looking for a 120 lens that will help defuse / focus light away from the center :) As most research that I have done on the 1825 shows the center would be receiving crazy levels of light/intensity at...

    Spectral lightmeter Gigahertz-Optik MSC15

Well yes, and no. Independent third party product test data performed by someone that has expensive testing equipment is absolutely invaluable and only needs to be calculated once. If put on the internet it will last forever, for all to see However I do understand that time is precious though :D

    Spectral lightmeter Gigahertz-Optik MSC15

Cheers so much for that, that is amazing!! But to be really annoying, any chance you could measure the PFFD for the 058 @ 2.044a~ at the distance of 30cm & 45cm? It would be really interesting to see the exact numbers at that distance! Also, how much heat does the cob put off at this wattage...

    Spectral lightmeter Gigahertz-Optik MSC15

Fantastic, any chance you could do a 1 x 1825 test @ 2.1amps? I would love to see the PFF/D numbers and even seeing two of these spaced 2' away in a 5x5 @ 2.1amp would be interesting
