Not sure how soil buffers, but they've doing great for almost 3 years. I've been using only ff happy frog, azomite, mycos, and a couple scoops of worm castings. Yeah, I'm exactly at 5.3ph when I mix it, lol, I just held my breath and went for it. I think it's bc in organics you're not feeding...

They look fine. Seedlings don't really need anything g for the first couple weeks. It that soil doesn't burn them, they're about to explode!

When I first started using the grobox I ph'd my water. After 2 runs I quit ph'ing the water and things have never looked better. It's says it's not necessary. And I know the rain fall around here ranges from 6-9 and the outdoor organic never has issues with ph.

Did you let all those amendments "cook" for 6-8 weeks before you used the soil? That blood meal will burn your stuff up if you dont.

But I will say that most of the fan noise I get is from the sound of air moving thru the duct, not the fan itself.

That's what I did. I used a big Styrofoam ice chest inside of a cardboard box. I put plywood in the bottom and screwed the fan to it. It's a 6" fan and you cant even hear if it's running or not!

No, they don't have enough power. Even the inline duct boosters are really to weak to pull/push thru a carbon filter. Turn your 4" fan down with the speed controller and your scrubber will work even better. The slower the air moves across the carbon, the more odor particles it can catch.

You need a hydrofarm speed controller.

I used foxfarms whole line for years. Nothing wrong with it, but the schedule is way to much waste for anything I've ever grown. There's no way their schedule can tell you what your plant needs this week. That's why they recommend all the flushing.
