I'm an electrician and I made up a thing for us electricians and it goes... electricians do it in the dark with Dykes and strippers

At the end of the build when everything is up and running I will post all the pictures from beginning to end and also go over some of the build! I was going to create a cover and a case and do everything all in closed but decided for my light and it's not going out to anybody else that I'm going...

I like the idea of not being completely in the dark but I myself mainly did it for efficiency reasons

Thanks brother bear I've just been posting updates of the build in here but if you would like can start a thread at the end of it with all the pictures and can answer any questions oh and yes it's very similar to the quantum canopy

Just got done cooking in the kitchen...

I guess I can look into some low uv resting plastic. Just don't want to spray this bad boy at all when I foliar feed or spray for pests

Is there anybody doing secondary optics for the quantum boards or even just a plastic cover for when you spray the garden?

That was my goal was to blow the black dogs out of the water and yes I have the S6 boards

It's going to be pretty much exactly the same as growmau5 quantum canopy

Won't be using it at full capacity and will be more efficient this way... not to mention I'm trying to beat my black dog's phytomax2 1000w light's

I just want to take work off for the next few days and build this thing... Unfortunately I can't Cause I need money to build more!

I would like to run from underneath like it's meant to do I just run the wire up a little bit past the top of the board and solder up on top keeping my solder joints separate?

Yes I've read that already my question about soldering is do I need to pre tin the wire or just thread it through? and for soldering on top do I just do a little dab right above each of the termination holes? For soldering on top I would have to Route the wires through the Optics

Every time I email them he gives me such a basic straightforward answer and then says cheers! It's kind of frustrating

Is anybody in here familiar with cutter Electronics new xpg3 boards? Just curious on the isolated Center terminals where you thread your wire through from the bottom. 1 do you pre tin the wire on that. 2 the holes are so close together do you just do the tiniest little dab of solder on top...

Ahhhhhh soooooo exciting!!! I finally have all the parts I need for my build... jus bought a 4x4 1/8 in thick 5052 grade aluminum sheet for the heat sink.

What is everyone using for thermal material for mounting the quantum boards to a heatsink? Just want to get some different ideas
