It's definitely not my meter being off. I didn't have a meter for say the first three weeks of the plant's life. So it definitely got the wrong pH when it came to waterings. This plant has been in Ocean Forest soil the whole time.... And I can see what you mean by it having too many nutrients...
I also have done two very light applications of this weekly as a foliage spray for preventative reasons. But I don't think it would have done that to the old growth on my plant? I didn't see any burn when I did it the first week
Yes I germinated the seed until I saw a taproot and planted it in solo cup. Went to a 1/2 gallon then now to a 3 gallon. Using Ocean Forest and perlite as medium.
I did do two light feedings with the advanced nutrients pH perfect, but they were extremely light. I transplanted yesterday and only...
I just repotted into a 3 gal pot from a 1 gal. And just water with 6.8 pH water only (no nutes). Since with repotting and using Ocean Forest soil, I figured with the addition of new soil I am getting some extra nutes...
Was going to hold off on a light feeding for a few days.
Whatcha think about...
So I have had problems with adding too much nutes (advanced nutrients pH perfect three-part).
I found that my runoff EC was 3.0 after being 1.9 in my solution. So I wanted to flush my soil with straight water. The next day after flushing I did a soil slurry test to find out the pH and EC of my...

Right on. Speaking to the chlorine that is in the water. I have heard letting the water sit in a bucket either outside or in your home for 24 hours will evaporate the chlorine? Is that true and which method outside or inside is best
I think I did make an account. I just followed you. My pH is high here it's 9.5 so I will have to pH down a little. I was using a bottled water until I was able to get pH down for my tap water. If I can't afford a RO system, will tap suffice? I've been reading tap water will cause your plant to...
I have been reading that Cal mag is best used with RO water. I do not have an RO system, and don't plan on getting one anytime soon. I am using filtered water from the tap. Here are my numbers coming from my blue lab combo meter:
pH = 9.5
EC = .2
PPM 500 = 140
PPM 700 = 190
I am using the...
If I am using a fridge filter (carbon filter) and using this water to water and feed my plants. Do I have to let this sit outside or inside for a certain amount of time, or just the water out of the tap?
If it does rain or snowmelt, would you advise letting it sit out longer as there is more...
I have heard that you should take your tap water and put it in a bucket and let it sit out for 24 hours whether that be outside or inside to let the chlorine evaporate? Is that something that you should do? Or if I am filtering the tap water through a fridge filter will that filter some of that...
Yes it measures EC, PPM 500, PPM 700, and Temp.
Here is my tap water numbers (I think here in St Louis we have decent tap water, I know the pH may be a little high...)
pH = 9.5
EC = .2
PPM 500 =140
PPM 700 = 190
Do you use PPM 500 or PPM 700?
