I've raised seedlings under my 1000w hps dimmed down to 50% and a 600w HP's at 75% it works out great just not energy efficient

I like CFLs for seedlings I never tried the t5 or t8 but I had the 8u 250w and 6u 125w CFLs and they are great but don't last long and are poorly designed u have to be uber careful when touching or moving them

I don't like the stretch it gave me up high 18 in with my mars 300 ...not only did they stretch but they like grew diagnal instead of str8 up and down...
