There might be but who has the time to figure out how to grow a plant that way. Have you done it this way and found it to be easier? Seems like letting them fall and grow is as easy as it gets. Oh and it increases the yield so what's left to tinker with?

So here is some pics of the greenhouses. We don't prune or support these ones because we want them to fall and grow along the ground. The more surface area the better the yield. There will be tons of little tops. Looks like shit but the greatest thing to happen to them.

I've done this many many years and live in an area with wind. They do much better with some veg time when they fall over. But they still reach for the sun on their own. Good luck. If you don't want that to happen next time prune them and use trellis netting

2 plants fell over!i dont know what to do!

Ok I didn't read any of the responses but my plants fall over each year! I leave them. I actually pray for them to fall over. The plants I let stand I might get 25% less. The greater the surface area the better. The plant starts to fight for light. If you try stand it back up it starts to blow...

I'm teaching a family member this summer and he wanted some plants of his own. This is mostly for him. He is having a tough time and needed some work. This is the only job I know. I really enjoy being in the woods so it's not even work for me.

So put in a few more today. There was no soil at this site so I brought in some peat bricks and added purlite. This site was given to me by an old timer. It's been in use since 1984. He had soil there but I'm not going organic so I added my own.
