Weed in Canada has ZERO value

Not sure many retailers can afford to sell online and mail it out. I believe cheapest package mailout from CP is around $9 for business rate including signature and 18+ ID verification. Profit margins for retailers are slim enough as it is.

Weed in Canada has ZERO value

It's strictly based on beverage volume. 355mL = 5.07g of dried flower Has nothing to do with the contents, it's about legal equivalencies for purchase limits and possession limits. Whether that can has 100mg of THC or 1mg of THC, the equivalent is 5.07g of dried flower. That's why you can't...

The CCC Wedding Cake looks like the real deal to me.

In CANADA folks demand the best! PICKY....omg.....YUP!

Flavor of the month will change fairly often but the hard hitting Chem's, OG's, and long flowering sativas will always have a market.

In CANADA folks demand the best! PICKY....omg.....YUP!

Yep, for me at least the AA/AAA/AAAA rating system is just strictly about quality ONLY while "top shelf" denotes top quality in addition to market demand for that product. So you could have perfectly grown AAAA Shishkaberry or Sweet Tooth and AAAA Gelonade or Root Beer but only the Gelonade/Root...

How scewed can the system be...

Cost is under $40 to apply for an entry waiver if you're doing the paperwork yourself. If you hire a US attorney to do it for you obviously it can get expensive fast. If you're doing the paperwork for yourself you just have to pay for the 2 record checks.

I'm talking about hand trimmed, cold cured, AAAA 100% fire single zips. Actual top-shelf. You're not getting them for $50 or even $80 and I've been to Nelson plenty of times. Trimmers have never been more expensive in BC than they have since CERB/COVID.

I believe Tunaaaa sold his extracts company TRX in a stock deal. Not sure how involved they are anymore.

Nobody is selling top-shelf/AAAA for $50-$100/oz, not sure where you guys are seeing these prices.

Weed in Canada has ZERO value

Your environment often dictates method, very difficult to do dry sift runs if it's warm/humid or both. Much nicer making hash in a cold dry environment but doing a bubble run can be done in heat/humidity, dry sift not so much.

Weed in Canada has ZERO value

Not the person you asked but it's just made using dried (sometimes frozen) flower/trim on screens, often stacked screens with different micron sizes for the mesh, you just bounce/shake the material on the screen and the trichome heads will break off and fall through the screen layers below...

Weed in Canada has ZERO value

So Cookies finally landed in Canada yesterday on our legal market. Just going on social media alone it looks like they moved a LOT of $60-$70 eighths, should definitely help to prop up the 'premium' end of the market for a while as the budget offerings continue their race down to the price...

Weed in Canada has ZERO value

Everybody cares. Once people have the ability to actually make a choice nobody wants scraggly mids. Look at wine or vodka, exact same effects from the $5 bottle as the $500 bottle yet the $5 bottles never sell very well in comparison to the mid-range options. If you ask any budtender in North...

How many of those are growing for flower rather than growing for extracts though? People want measurable potency + high terp content in finished flower. Both are achieved best in an indoor setting.

Weed in Canada has ZERO value

People don't want to buy outdoor weed. That's really all that needs to be said, stuff grown in some cornfield in Idaho is irrelevant to the Canadian market for the most part. It's destined to be turned into budget extracts. It has been legal here and in some states in some form or another for...

Weed in Canada has ZERO value

There is zero need to speculate or theory-craft about a big ag approach to cannabis. It's all right there in black and white for everybody to look at. You can simply look at all the publicly available quarterly financial reports of these billion dollar companies losing billions of dollars every...

Weed in Canada has ZERO value

If BIG AG taking over cannabis was going to happen it would have been done by now before the funding started to dry up. Even the major greenhouse growers in the US that invested in Canada like Pure Sunfarms are taking a beating even though they are lauded as one of the few bright spots in the...
