Can someone explain 80 CRI vs 90 CRI- LED

Think you would be willing to plot another chart featuring citi CLU048 1216 3000/90 and 2700/90? I'd like to see if the outcome is the same

Can someone explain 80 CRI vs 90 CRI- LED

I'm still a noob when it comes most of this led cob shit. That being said I'm a pretty smart guy and thoroughly enjoy learning things. I guess I take my hobbies a bit too far like most of you seem to also do. Probably my OCD kicking into overdrive lol. I have been soaking all this light science...

Can someone explain 80 CRI vs 90 CRI- LED

If you refer to post #10 on page 1 here you can see the graph of 4000k - 2700k @ 90cri. 3000k wins out over the 2700k up to 630nm where they both top out at 100%, from there it's pretty much neck and neck between the two.

Can someone explain 80 CRI vs 90 CRI- LED

No I don't think you made a wrong choice! I think that 2700k are a better flower option than 3000k but I chose the 3000k 90cri mostly due to the fact that It will be both a veg light (supplemented with T5HO hortilux UV) and my flower light. Also through my research It seems that 3000k with my...

Can someone explain 80 CRI vs 90 CRI- LED

Thanks! And yes I don't exactly care about Lumens. Doesn't matter how I see the light it matters how my plants can use said light! Anyways I get the basic principles of all this. Decided on 1216 3000k 90cri. A bit more $$ but easily available.

5x5 Grow tent diy led cob lighting

I read multiple threads on 80 vs. 90cri and I'm pretty much sold on the 90! I think your right about the 3000k 90cri being the sweet spot. Couldn't find more than a few CLU048 1212 90's in stock anywhere last night though. I am considering using 1216 instead. From my understanding it's still a...

Was pretty lit when I edited my Reply.. lol! I sure did make up my own question though :wall:.

Can someone explain 80 CRI vs 90 CRI- LED

Well I'm sold on the 90cri. Correct me if I'm wrong, 90cri = more red with the disadvantages of slightly less efficiency and losing photons to green. 80cri = a bit more efficiency and a good balance with less loss to green? This would be for 3000k. I'm a noob with led cobs but I'm about to...

5x5 Grow tent diy led cob lighting

i will give it a search and see what I can dig up. I could have sworn that growmou5 preferred the 80cri and he seems to know his shit! None the less I'll do a bit of homework before I place my order tonight. Thanks for the heads up OM :bigjoint:

4x8 or 5x9 Gorilla Tent and Yield?

Anyone else here think that gorilla grow tents are outrageously priced? They do have heavier tent material and thicker posts/poles but that's about it! I just don't see that justifying a $400+ price tag. I say get a tent in the $150-200 range with decent tent fabric and good zippers. The IR...

5x5 Grow tent diy led cob lighting

Thanks Jimmyclone42, I'm in Nevada so power isn't expensive. Wanted led for efficiency and pretty much a hobby on top of the grow hobby haha. I am ordering this stuff tonight actually and I had planned on the CLU048 1212 3000k 80cri. Do you recommend the 90's and if so what's the reasoning...

    Help me choose my lights

I vote DIY! I myself am in the process of building a citizen CLU048 1212 cob setup for my 5x5 tent. Check out timber grow lights and chat with Dan. Also look into growmou5 on YouTube. You'll end up with better lighting and saving money vs. buying something commercial. I spent roughly $900-1,000...

Electrical code question for 240v lights.

Also save some money and use gfci receptacles and ditch the gfci breaker for a basic single 2 pole. You can daisy chain off the gfci recepticle to other ones and they'll all be protected. Edit: I completely neglected your 220/240v lights. Sorry about that! you can't run 220/240v to a 15/20amp...

Electrical code question for 240v lights.

i used to be an electrician. How long a run of wire did you pull? From main breaker to whatever receptacle you're going to use? If it's over 100ft you'll probably be wise to step up the wire gauge. is the 30amp breaker a single or double pole? If it's a 2 pole breaker you could run two dedicated...

5x5 Grow tent diy led cob lighting

Thanks verticalgrow! I will eventually catch my stride experimenting with different grow mediums and all that. As for this grow my plan is to use fox farms soil In 3-5gal pots. Probably going to give the manifold technique a shot. I'd love to see upwards of 2# dry. Will veg just long enough for...

5x5 Grow tent diy led cob lighting

All CLU048 cobs will be 3000k. I plan to use this 5x5 as my flower tent once I get a perpetual grow system rolling in the near future. Will veg and bloom for my first grow though.

5x5 Grow tent diy led cob lighting

new to the forum here (1st post) :hump: Anyways let me get right down to it. I'm about to DIY a citizen CLU048 build in my 5x5 apollo grow tent and would love to hear thoughts/advice good or bad. Build will be (2) separate fixtures each housing (2) drivers (8 cobs and dimmable through a single...
