u can pluck the male flowers off. its just time consuming.. there will only be a few at first.. but more and more will show up.. you will be out there every other day looking / picking males flowers. if you feel like doing that keep it, if not, move / kill the hermie

i used : paper clips ( when they were young ) and then switch to coat hangers ( bend them into a hook ) then you can drill holes around the top of your pot, or just tape the hooks that you made in place.
