I take clones off each plant, number them and root them under 12/12 light I use a single CFL, they will show sex in no time and you'll have clones of the females.. It really isn't as big a challage as it sounds.... Most show in 7-14 days, doesn't stress your plants and keeps them vegging...

Sounds like you need a silencer or differnt fan, my old fan made tons of rushing air noise, high speed-high pressure, current fan is very quiet I have to put my hand on it to see if it's running, I run my wall fans 24-7, you might try leaving a flap/zipper open at night but your inline will help...
