i think its nitro toxicity/nute burn. your soil still has time released fertilizer in it it looks like. so you could be over feeding

i use a ufo igot off ebay for 90$ its workin good. advertised as 180w but its 100.+/-3. but i also use 2 68w cfl n 2 42w cfl for supplementing in flower.

you could veg with those lights no problem depending on how many girls you are running. or you could order a few 42w cfls and have the 18w t5 above the plant

should be alright if you switch too your closet. i did it. i would have the bulbs completely surrounding the plant and a few right above! keep the lights as close as possible without burning n my case i have a led on top and 4 cfl surrounding.
