Pretending the white tubes are framing, you could easily run your strips across for a no heatsink build. At what wattage you should make the change to heatsink I am not sure about... I should have ordered more strips.. if anyone has a few extras they wont be using lol

scroll back a page or 2 and you will find 4ft aluminum channel for $1 shipped. WIll work great unless you are running them hot and need bare aluminum

You have 20+ strips on 2 wire nuts? lol but in all honesty 100 wire nuts at home depot are $7 and 100 4 port push connectors are $8.50... I'll splurge on the push connectors but understand that could be a 10pc chicky nuggy's from BK in someone else's eyes

For one you are going to lose lumens per watt.. more heat.. the data sheet will show you this if you look at the charts.. Also use the samsung engine calculator to see how power and temperature can affect efficiency if you do not want to use a chart...

I am sure I am missing something but why that specific driver and can you run those h strips in series with that high of voltage? The data sheet shows they are running the 4ft at the same voltage as the 2ft and thee may be a reason for that? Sorry I cant help on your xlg question but why not...

Yeah only going to strip them down if i need better performance. I don't have this build hanging yet but will eventually post temps and watts at the wall

Should be plenty left... I don't think anyone paid attention to the link when I originally posted it but that may change now. Sanding them isn't really fun so I plan to dip them in paint stripper and then just rinse off.
