I've been looking into new filtering options for closed column.
45 micron tri clamp gaskets are $70 each and are only one layer of filtration.
Coffee filters release pressure and leak oil.
Cut micron screens layered at the end of the column still allows lipids through.
Any advice on how...
If it's 2 grams of shatter its not worth winterizing.
Put it on parchment, heat up a griddle and move it back and forth over it to melt the grams.
If they react, keep going until turns back to clear shatter. If not then its something else.
No need to repeat, we get you have a particular experience but its best not to spread false information.
Clones do not need much light, you actually want less light as to not promote growth of vegetation and to encourage root growth.
I agree that's too much light for seedlings. Also looks like your humidity fluctuates greatly, does your temperature as well?
Seedlings and clones need stable environment to grow correctly (fast). 74F at the cube and a little higher up by the light is a good place to start.
Also are you...
That makes sense, so that makes the playing field level for the solvents with kief in regards to chlorophyll.
Will all solvents absorb 100% of the available components in the kief since it's concentrated trich heads?
I'm not sure if i'm missing the point, are all solvents the same in the...
Thanks, I know what you're talking about; but for me you spark more thoughts.
So you're saying ethanol to pick up less chlorophyll? In Keef wouldn't the chlorophyll be in such small amounts since it is separated from the plant matter already?
What about the water in eth? Wouldn't it need...
We experience a 1-3% return from "2nd" run nugs using the freeze everything method both runs.
It is typically more sleepy and less high..... We usually "2nd run" great nugs only....
I agree with snaps, I would run it then add to food if I was going to do what you suggest. The flower to...
Your right I did not mention heat in depth but skimmed it during the vacuum pressure charts..... (The charts were for you to determine how much heat you would use) but Snaps has it....
Some heat is required to keep the top layer molten to allow butane molecules to escape. Cold vac will bring...
The dawg chimes in on the one year old question but missed the one from yesterday......
Still super curious to discuss kief and iso? And its place in the extract tree..
The butane tends to pool in the thickest areas of the purge patty.
Usually take samples from there.
If you release pressure and let the heat re-settle the patty you will see reactions in the next pull.
It really depends on what you want, you will learn there is no way to make the "perfect concentrate" everything will be a mix of give and take. By gaining something you will lose something else.
To give you some straightforward answers.
You may gradually increase your heat if you like or set...
I do find live resin quite tasty as well. I especially like to take some lower nugs while young. Produces a more "aware" high and quickly becomes a crowd favorite.
My favorite type is waxy.
However I still prefer to at-least dry 70% or more before using. It provides a more realistic...
Interesting, I was thinking with the kief not having the whole terp profile as the plant that the extract would be similar across bho/iso/eth and leaving low heat ftw.
Iso definitely sounds easiest..
