If you’re worried about being to tall just gently bend the branches. If you put it on 12 x12 to to early after topping the plant will not heal good and stunt some

You can do it over a couple of days if possible also make sure to keep feeding veg nutrients for a couple of weeks to help with stretch Also make sure that if you topped or stressed the plant in any way that it’s at least a week before flip
