Expensive clone light but it should work just fine. Clones dont need a lot of light. This light is putting out more then enough.

I think that is where the mercury or gas resides, my light has the same thing. . Once the electricity hits those coils it excites the gasses and creates light. This is my understanding of how induction works. I could be completely wrong, in which case; don't listen to me.

Like @aeafafwe said. But I like to keep it 2-2.5" below the net pots once there are roots in the water. I feel that gap of air helps produce bigger water roots. IMO

The best way i've found to pop seeds that seems pretty close to a sure thing. I take a small cup, load it with coco and water. Then plant the seed just under the surface. Place cling wrap over the top and stick a rubber band around the rim. Place in a warm, lighted place. I do it in my clone...

It seems to me that induction lights/ballasts direct from the manufacturer are priced very well.(~$140-$200 200w). Its the hood and shipping that kills the cost.
