As long as I had the opportunity to check-in and water frequently, I'd be inclined to use more perlite when the plants are small, then less as they got bigger. I hate having young roots sitting in a 'too wet' media between drinks. Good luck.

Yep, what MJ said. Also, tiny plants sometimes go better in tiny pots - it gives them a chance to guzzle all the water instead of having it sitting stagnant at the bottom of the pot, where it loses oxygen and generally becomes unattractive to the roots. Yours are not toooo bad, but smaller pots...

If that's your first grow, I'd say you're doing pretty good. I don't grow autos now but, when I did, I found they needed way less than the 'recomended amount' of food. Less food often makes for an easier grow as you are not sailing quite so close to the wind. Your plants look quite heavily...
