Your are spot on. If you are using salt with iron out that is probably worse as the iron removal locks out the cal mag. I time the withdrawal of water to when my softener runs out of salt. Or you get and RO filter setup prior to the softener system and pull from that.

Also promix soil is pretty dead on at 5.8. I often feed with plain 7ph. Promix will force it downward. Not the other way around. With the plants being burnt they won’t be eating a ton so 850 runoff is high. Plain water till they come back around.

This is classic transition sunburn. The UV is strong on leaves from indoors. It will take some time but they will heal. I like to park them in the shade or half shade the the first week. Fish has it dialed.
