Not bad on the Cape at all.

Last year the 2 18" fans were running constantly in direct sunlight. The new ridge vent makes the fans almost unnecessary. Way better. The vent opens and closes automatically. I should start a thread on how it was built as a reference for anyone who wants to do it.

Maybe I should start a separate thread for this. Something like $1500 - $2k. It was built with allot of extras and ready for upgrading to light dep. Expensive parts - 2x roll up motors for sides, hardware bits & wiggle wire tracks, extensive automation system. Humidity hasn't been a problem...

It's 12 x 18' and about 10' high in the middle. I got a bending jig and built it with my 80 year old father in law. All from scratch. The pipes are chainlink fence top rail from Lowes. Two12' pipes per hoop at $12 each.

They are about 5 feet now. So far six have been kicked out to make room. A dozen keepers out of the bunch will be fine.

It's that time of year that everyone should be looking for male plants or hermies. It sucks that "breeders" sell expensive seeds knowing that there is a high likelihood of hermies. Check your plants closely.

I understood that herms are likely to make more herms in their seeds or using the pollen. The same thing happens when STS is used to convert a female to a male. People do this with female clones trying to keep the strain / pheno and end up with bad seed.

I did that this spring. The greenhouse is great for getting an early start but the days are too short. The glow is unbelievable.

I think it's something environmental and would trim it off. Mold or fungus maybe, surprising bc it's been so dry. The rest of the plants look very healthy.

It's a good idea to go with a preventative maintenance program in any event. Once a week or so.

I have used Potassium Bicarbonate (aka Green Cure) with not so great results. Try Serenade, you should be able to find it at any garden store. Spray after the sun is not shining directly on it.
