Need some ideas for single plant light deprivation enclosure.

I'm doing the same exact thing...I have a few plants here and there in the yard. The thing is, they're in the ground...best place for a plant to flourish without a doubt. I have to trick them because it gets cold up here faster than in warmer climates. I already bought the tarp...I bought thick...

Individual Outdoor light deprivation material ideas

Garbage bags will work, but try and get the thickest industrial bags and use bamboo sticks to make a frame type thing for them...one year, decades ago actually, I covered my two plants in the gazeebo with bags and ended up being away from home leaving the bags on for almost three days straight...

Muriate of Potash (potassium chloride) - NPK 0-0-60

I heard that muriate of potash has chlorine in it, therefore harmful to plants.

Get some diatomaceous earth. I bought 7 kg and mix it with soil. It'll kill them...lady bugs work too.

    Skunk, where has it gone?

I have to "Skunk #1" plants hanging up to dry right now. The guy who I buy my nutrients and stuff from at Grow Me Green sold me a few Skunk #1 seeds...I have 8 clones in veg and the two hanging up done. Thing is, never did they ever smell anything close to a skunk. I'm not sure any kids ever...

How dark does my drying room have to be?

Plants thieves...not much lower form of life is that. I know the feeling...one caksmoker came into my yard and not only stole a 6 foot high plant, they dug it out of the ground...I pray it grew balls on the goof.

Banana tee - very low pH

Get yourself a digital pH meter and a bottle of pH UP & pH DOWN...keep your pH in between 6.2 to 6.7 and you'll be fine. Ever since I bought myself these things, kept my pH proper, I've never had any nutrient issues or lockout. Just Sayin'.

How to grow dank bud! Compost soil items

The egg shells work much better if you pound them to a powder or a salt like consistency...roots pick it up better.

How to grow dank bud! Compost soil items

Let me give you a hint...don't ever bring plants that you started inside under lights then put outside, then, for some reason, you decided to bring them back inside the house. I did that last year, ended up with thrips...a nasty little creature that multiplies like fukin' rabbits and suck the...

9 + weeks of flowering... clear trichomes

I used to go by the colour of the hairs, the pistils, but once I started looking at the trichomes, and the colour and transparency of them. Yes you need a USB microscope or pocket mic, but they're inexpen$ive nowadays. Judging harvest time solely by the colour of pistils is not the most accurate...

9 + weeks of flowering... clear trichomes

Makes me laugh...I'm experiencing exactly the same thing. My seed breeder says the flowering time is 8 weeks, or +/- 48 days (whatever that means???) My ladies are 64 days at 12 & 12...I time them as soon as I change the light schedule, then take about 10 to 14 days off to trick them. Mine...

Do you need perlite in a clone dome?

I would appreciate your advice...should I put water in the dome tray for cuttings? Some are drooping, some are not...and what should I set my digital thermometer for my heating mat to? How about you just come over and help me out? Once I see a bunch of roots on my clones, you can go back home...

How important is heat under cloning tray?

Cloning is a tricky business...you know, I've been growing for decades outside mostly, until I bought some LED lights. I've been trying to clone, save on seeds. I bought a cloning tray with dome and a heating pad with temperature control...see how that does. The last time I used it, it didn't...

First time cloning; rockwool vs. Jiffy pellets; pictorial difference

I heard tell that Rockwool is preferred over Jiffy Pellets from more than one person...something to do with the way that Rockwool disipates water as the Jiffy Pellets tend to hold moisture more...if the Jiffy Pellets are too wet, no roots, too dry, no roots. One fellow puts a thin layer of...

    Gibberellic acid for seed germination

Thanks so much for this data table xtsho...much obliged. You know, maybe the reason it didn't work was I used only 50% rubbing alcohol and too much water. This is really going to help me...thanks again bud.

    Gibberellic acid for seed germination

Yep, I dissolved it in a few drops of rubbing alcohol first, then mixed in some distilled water...not sure I did it right...looks like I didn't, because no good results as of yet.

    Gibberellic acid for seed germination

Bud, I tried all of those ways...hydrogen peroxide + water, damp cotton cloth (paper towel), hugs & kisses and tucking them into bed too...none would pop. I've never had such bad luck germinating seeds for all my life...been growing a few plants every year now for decades and rarely had...
