Sure , but according to her no one can get those numbers unless the're running her lights and certainly no one running white based chips.

So I take it this is single diode testing ? not board mounted testing ? Any links to more specific testing ? Not knocking anything just trying to expand my knowledge.

how long would u leave a plant in a solo cup?

Yeah, to bad it wasn't a keeper, a varietal of kotton kandy. I actually flowered out plants in 3 ounce Dixie bathroom cups once, Got 3 grams from each plant. Just wish I would have documented it.

HLG vs HGL Side By Side Take 2

Do you want questions here or would you like to start a new thread for the questions as not to clog this thread up ?

The problem with the simulator is it needs to be narrowed down to actual chips wavelengths then be able to overlay the base spectrum for comparison and adjust from their.

Eventually all plants have the ability to adapt to their given environment. Look where all base vegetables come from different climates from all over the world but have been modified over time and to some extent genomic engineering to grow in less than optimal climates.

Your more than welcome to contribute to this thread. To do the math for it requires a lot more data than just the SPD. Play with this for awhile and we can discuss it some more later. https://www.waveformlighting.com/led-spectrum-simulator. I'm heavy into my veggy garden planting right now.

    small pot large plant.

Yes, the only problem I see with the boards are all your diodes are clumped together leaving you less options of dispersing the light over the total canopy area.

You need to watch your red to far red ratio, too much far red signals shading and causes stretching .

A little science and actually growing plants under those spectrum. I pull a minimum of a pound a month from my garden just playing around. When I'm serious about production that jumps to a kilo per month with running slightly over 1,000 watts in the flower room. A lot of that starts with the...

660 targets the peak wavelength for photosynthesis. If you'd move their spd chart down to make the red peak at 660 instead of 600 you could cut the 660's down. Basically yes. 480 watts in a 3x4, I'm running 520 watts in a 4x6

As long as their reported spd is not far off it doesn't matter

you need a lot of red for sure. 620 nm 660 nm 740 nm would help in flower production. Like 25-30 watts per 100 watts of that spectrum.

If you have an spd for your led's I'll give you a recipe to supplement but your going to need more than just 740.

I'm not missing 740 on my lights, only thing missing in my spectrum is anything lower than 410 nm . So what's the point I guarantee I have a fuller spectrum than her lights.

4K will definitely need some red supplementation
