    Nute deficiency

62? That seems odd. These nutrients must be quite watered down. Are you sure your ppm meter is working properly? For plants that size I would want to be around 150.

Cheap Chiller Alternatives & Res Temps

I'm definitely not saying that no one should control water temps. If all other parameters were ideal, then perhaps one might get more performance from their system by fine-tuning the temps. I just don't think it matters as much as some people think. A lot of people think that there is a giant...

    water pump quastion

IMO it should work fine, a lot of growers use this style of pump outside of the reservoir. The fluid moving through it should cool it, but you will only know by trying it out. You could do a test before you build your system by putting the intake and output hoses into a 5 gal filled bucket...

    Nute deficiency

Do you have an ec/ppm meter? If not I would dilute them... 1/4 to 1/2 strength

    Cloudy water/slime on roots

Learn to brew aerated microbe tea, it will clear up your problem for good. I have a 30 gallon system and brew up microbes each week for it. The plants go nuts for the next day or two. I haven't checked rez temps in nearly 2 years (I know in the heat of summer its often in the high 70's). When...

    Nute deficiency

I see them curling down which usually means you're feeding them too much. A small plant like that should only be getting 1/4 strength. If by signs of nute deficiency you are referring to the spots on the ends of the lower leaves, that is a sign of an EARLY deficiency, as in, you waited too...

Very good idea. I wish I'd done that my first (and prob second) time around :)

Bubbleponics/DWC top fed seedling issue HELP

Well its hard to predict what sort of deformations will occur when a seedling has zero nutrient for a few days. Some phenotypes are hungrier than others and will suffer more, so the leaves may get a little more twisted up. As well this pheno just seems a bit different than the other, this one...

Bubbleponics/DWC top fed seedling issue HELP

When a plant gets a deficiency the existing leaves will continue to look bad and will usually get a lot worse, even if you correct it. Only the brand new growth will look normal. And the new growth coming from the center of the plant does seem to look more normal (its hard to tell since its so...

Do you think I stress my plants ?

Me neither. I germinate in ro, move them to rockwool when taproots are +1/2 inch, and give them ~100 ppm. At the first sign of true leaves, I increase that to 200ppm (.3-.4 ec)

Why is my water cloudy? Micro Organisms

Yeah once you start using beneficials, make sure you don't use H2O2 anymore as it will kill them and defeat the whole purpose of them. Also best not to use the really small water lines as they can get plugged up. I use no smaller than 1/2 inch. Also lots of air and constant circulation is the...

Why is my water cloudy? Micro Organisms

Yup, this ^^ I have a 30 gallon system and brew up microbes each week for it. The plants go nuts for the next day or two. I haven't checked rez temps in nearly 2 years (I know in the heat of summer its often in the high 70's). When pathogens try to move in the see the "no vacancy" sign and...

Cheap Chiller Alternatives & Res Temps

I applaud your diy efforts, I am probably the poster boy for diy, however, in this case... I run RDWC over 20 gallons and use no chiller, in fact I haven't checked temps in over a year. IMO the best and cheapest alternative to a water chiller is weekly reinoculation of the system with microbes...

CRI test and Mcree weighted results

And stoner science moves slowest of all :( I really thought that the areas were more segregated. Oh well, maybe we'll have some good news in the spring. Thanks for the effort Rahz, its difficult to control something like this long distance.

    Nutrient concentrated pre-mix ?

In my experience, you wouldn't have any trouble if you mixed them in a 5 gallon bucket. Just figure out what your target ppm is and triple it for the bucket. So if your res was say, 15 gallons and your target was 750, then mix the bucket to 2250 ppm and add it to 2 parts water when you do your...

    calcium deficiency?

Ok so that was your issue, you waited too long to start feeding your plant and you can see that the lower leaves are all deficient in calcium, magnesium and others. this seems to be quite a common thing with those new to hydro, I've commented on 3 different threads in the last week and all the...

    calcium deficiency?

This is not burning or bleaching, It appears to be signs of both calcium and magnesium deficiency. Either you aren't giving it calcium and magnesium, or you just waited too long to start feeding it at the start. I wouldn't feed that tiny plant any more than 1/4 strength anything What are you...

Experts Advises about this stressed plant is welcome.

No reason to turf it imo, its been six days now and it looks to me like its just starting to recover from the transplant shock. The top leaves are starting to show some growth. If I were you I'd concentrate on keeping the hydroten wet so the roots grow out, without continually soaking the...

Bubbleponics/DWC top fed seedling issue HELP

At the risk of repeating myself. If you don't want to use drip rings, them hand watering the hydroten (but not the rockwool - it will stay wet and wick what it needs from the hydroten) is a good compromise. Good luck :)
