Nutrient concentrated pre-mix ?

Hi all !

I use : GH ArmorSi ,CaliMagic ,hydroguard ,GH flora series ,Liquid kool bloom .
Is it possible to make a concentrated mix of all this ,and dilute it in the reservoir as needed ?
I ask because I'm looking for a way to make my nute.mix and be able to get the good PPM easily .
I figure that way I would add the concentrate till I get the righ PPM . Other than that how would I calculate how much of each I need in my 16 gallon res. to get the desired PPM .
I hope you understand my question ...
Thank you !

Boris

No, don't do it. Nutrients need to be mixed 1 at a time in a full reservoir. if you mix nutrient concentrate they will chemically react with each other and lock out. It will fail, i promise...

Even if I mix them one by one in 2 gallons of water instead of 16 .?

Yeah, even if you mix in 2 gallons. You shouldn't go over the max ml/gallon recommendation on the side of the bottle. If you are trying to find the "perfect" ppm or ec for a large reservoir, all you have to do is find that "perfect" ppm/ec in 1 gallon, then multiply however many ml you used for 1 gallon for each bottle of nutrient by how many gallons your reservoir is...

IE if the perfect mix for 1 gallon is: GH ArmorSi 5ml. ,CaliMagic 10ml ,hydroguard 10ml ,GH flora series 15ml ,Liquid kool bloom 8ml. say it is 800ppm.....

and your reservoir is 10 gallons, you would use: GH ArmorSi 50ml ,CaliMagic 100ml ,hydroguard 100ml ,GH flora series 150ml ,Liquid kool bloom 80ml. your mix will still be 800ppm.....

Exactly. Just be sure to figure it out based on the ratios recommended on the bottles of your base nutrient. So if you find you need to mix half of the recommend mix of your base nutrients, then use half for your additives. keep the ratios the same...

Another way to look at it, lets say you mix the max recommended ml for each bottle in 1 gallon and it is 1000ppm but you want 750ppm then simply decrease the ml/gallon of each nutrient by the percentage of reduced ppm, in this case 25%

When I started i went with the bottle recommendations/ratios, then as I learned to read the plants i was able to make adjustments in my additives to meet the plant needs. This is where keeping a log will come in handy..

In my experience, you wouldn't have any trouble if you mixed them in a 5 gallon bucket. Just figure out what your target ppm is and triple it for the bucket. So if your res was say, 15 gallons and your target was 750, then mix the bucket to 2250 ppm and add it to 2 parts water when you do your change. I always keep a concentrated 5 gallon bucket (usually 2000 ppm) for top-ups between res changes. But I certainly wouldn't try to premix that much nutrient in a 1 gallon container. That would be over 10000 ppm and I'm quite sure at those concentrations the different elements would start to combine and would be forever unavailable to the plants (especially the calcium and the phosphorus)

I love seeing stoners on youtube mixing all their nutrients together into a tiny glass, then pouring that into a giant bucket and expecting that everything will be ok. Before long you see they've switched nutrient lines because of how poorly their plants did.
