Start feeding when plant needs it, I showed you the threads. Use the CFL till you get situated with your space like drsaltzman said. Don't make this harder than it has to be, try to learn something new about your new "hobby" everyday and soon you'll understand why this plant is called "weed".
If I where in your position another cfl wouldn't hurt, they have those splitters so that one lamp can have 2 bulbs. The extr lumens plus low heat of cfl will work for your situation. Just a reminder though the amount of light will have to increase for high yields, however that's more in-depth...
Not aluminum foil unfortunately that stuff can actually focus light into a beam and hurt your plant. For example like you can start a fire with a magnifying glass, or ice as a matter of fact. Paint or white paper or mylar cheapest out of those is the paper.
I'm off to sleep though peace out! N...

I'm on a budget grow myself, drink lots of coffee, and eat loads of vegi/fruits. All good in the long run, depending on your capabilities I made a compost pile for the long haul. You can make tea's that will help you as well.

Do you drink coffee, but not the dissolvable kind? The old fashioned stuff that you need a filter for ground up beans...work that into the top of your soil and it'll help with N as well as give you a neutral pH. Its cheap and there are double bonuses you get to drink coffee and your tree's get...
I know pH is one of the most important factors due to the fact that your soil or substrate can have all the nutrients that the plant needs to thrive however due to the pH isn't able to break down the elements for absorption through roots, or something of that sort.
Now the issue with my soil...
My soil was upper 7's so it was locking out some nutes, added a little aluminum sulfate to drop it down. Will look into soybean meal sounds like exactly what I'm looking for!
Peat will be my first choice from now on, I didn't do much research to find the aluminum sulfate solution.
Had a purple stem issue with it 3 weeks ago added worm castings, compost, as well as aluminum sulfate the problem subsided. Now it looks like its going to the leaves, adding bone meal and Epsom salt with more castings possibly do the banana tea like I mentioned tomr since she got water...
I was sure about the P deficiency, the K and Mg wasn't sure about. The tree has sufficient light its certainly lacking some food. Getting on it this weekend.
It’s definitely in need of feeding. That’s your problem, then.
I recommend getting actual nutrients. I use the Roots Organics Dry Nutrients Player Pack and 5mL Master Pack. The Dry Nutrients Player Pack was only ~$90 and will last a long time.
Otherwise, Epsom Salts for CalMag.
