I've had a cut of the "clone only" Blue Dream that is both a favorite to grow and smoke. Robust plant with big dense buds, finishes in 8-9 weeks, great smell and taste, and amazing bag appeal. The buzz is what I consider the perfect high. The only downside is that one builds a tolerance to it...

Getting a quality bulb is probably the most important decision you can make with HPS. Going with cheap bulbs will end up being an expensive choice as they rarely are still viable after one or two runs. All of a sudden plants seem to stop growing....I had plants that were "on hold" for two weeks...

Upstate NY......We're being inundated with West coast weed in the black market. $500 - $1,000 lbs if you know the right people. It's nuts. I get $500-$600 a quarter lb. $200 a zip. Top shelf stuff.

Some bulb salesman must love you. If you're not pulling our leg, I hope you saved all those "used" bulbs because you probably have a life-time of bulbs at hand.

You can go a year with a bulb, but it's my experience that after six months I could tell my bulbs were getting tired as my yields slowly decreased until a new bulb was put in. So I go with either Horti's when I can get them at a sane price, or Ushio's when I can't....and swap out every six months.

Ushio rates about as well as the Horti's in my opinion.

I won't get into specifics, but Sensible Seeds has a work around for credit cards. It seemed sketchy at first, but after three successful orders, I feel comfortable recommending them. Their prices are inline with other banks, and I've had 100% of 'em pop. They have had everything I've looked...

Good thread. I'm glad I read through it, as I had Tangerine Dream on my wish list. Thanks for the heads-up. Long ago when I first started growing I grew G13's Pineapple Express....and did so for about a year. Beautiful plant, amazing buds, and at the time I didn't know how so-so the weed...

I can't speak for what you have there, but the only time I've had plants stall were in flower and it was because my bulbs needed replacing. Nothing, at least in my opinion, beat's T5 HO's for veg. Been growing for almost 7 years and T5's never let me down.

I always called it King Tut....couldn't spell it any other way. Grew it out for over a year. One of my top 10 strains....maybe top 5.

That looks like a pure sativa.....pretty much count in 16 weeks from flip.

Blue Dream has been my and my customer's favorite. I think there's been a lot of BD posers out there. My cut came about 7 years ago. Matero Blue......big yielder.......so-so weed. C99 was disappointing. I didn't like growing Headband. For me, pure sats are over-rated.....16 weeks, so-so...
