PH rise, EC rise, less water usage

OK, some news - it definitely is potassium lockout...why? Maybe a two weeks ago I switched my flooding cycles to flood every 2h even during night (switched from 3h during night). Also lowered room temperature and humidity as I wrote above. Soooo...the plants don't appear to be overwatered, but...

PH rise, EC rise, less water usage

Hi guys, I'm in the week 3 of flowering and I need some advice. A few days ago I noticed that my plants started to use less water per day (10% less). This was followed by slightly raised EC by 0,03EC. It was a bit confusing bcs I lowered the humidity and room temperature a day before (from 27 to...

    Bucket Flood/Drain system in hydroton,anyone ?

That looks interesting. It combines classic Ebb&Flow principles with bucket system advantages. Keep going. Actually it's nearly impossible to overwater plants in hydroton. You can set it to water every hour and it won't be wrong.

    Bucket Flood/Drain system in hydroton,anyone ?

Got it. So as the roots not overgrow hydroton at all, you don't have to worry about drying out. But I guess you can't check the roots. Can you, please, post some photos of your system (can be link to buy). I want to see that.

    Bucket Flood/Drain system in hydroton,anyone ?

Hey Baaael, I got Flood/Drain bucket system too. From the start I ask my clone guy, which conditions are clones used to. Most common is about 5,5PH, 0,5-0,8EC. So the starting point is this. Then set the flooding - till the roots are in the balls, they will have enough water to not dry out...

Easiest / Lowest Maintenance Hydro Setup

When I decided to switch to hydroponic system, i was thinking about the same. Low maintance, low cost, week or longer w/o my visit. Flood and Drain - bucket system was my choice. But! There is always a lot of things you need to check on daily basis (PH, pumps, temp.). But there is another...

    Understanding feed schedule

As elgaucho said. Those EC in the chart are total. It's always better using RO water. And total EC you need to use always depends on growing conditions.

Flood and Drain - roots problem

I don't really want to. But that Alien hydroponics system works like that. Filling 300l of water to 60 buckets using 2000l/h pump. Filling takes about 12min, draining takes about 17min. I think that it is better for cooling down the root bound . If the water is properly aerated and cooled, then...

Flood and Drain - roots problem

Update: switched light period from 24/0 to 18/6...cause there are lots of opinions if they actually need dark part of the day. Some say nope, some say they don't need it, but it's recommended because the plant focus on making the "anchor". And bigger the "anchor", the bigger the plant. And this...

Flood and Drain - roots problem

Update: everything looks fine for now. I set the timer to 2h cycle (every flooding takes about 30min from start to end). But those roots grow a bit slower and therefore the plant is not developing as fast as I would like. Q: Why? Is there any possibility how to make those roots grow faster in...

Flood and Drain - roots problem

I was so much worried about overwatering that i underwatered them (most probably). I was confused bcs there were no other signs of underwatering (droopy leaves, etc.). I set the timer to start cycle every 3h and will wait what it developes.

Flood and Drain - roots problem

Water in reservoir is aerated permanently by air stones. Temp is always between 18-20 celsius degrees.

Flood and Drain - roots problem

Hello guys, I need your help. I'm pretty new to hydroponics and need to solve one problem. 6 days ago, I transplanted my clones to Allien flood and drain system. Growing medium is hydroton (5l of hydroton each bucket). Everything was fine, the roots starts to grow outside the net pots...
