Do I absolutely need to let my soil sit/cook?

You don't necesarily have to let it sit. Depends what all is in your soil mix. I've mixed and planted that day with no negative effects. P-

    Introduction: No Till, Cycle 1

I think the veggie seedlings would be a great idea! I've made enough mistakes to learn testing it out can save a lot of headaches down the road lol. Like Grease said, they are going to get really big in those pots, so try and top/train/lst/etc. I completely understand the funds. Do what you can...

    Introduction: No Till, Cycle 1

Do you have time to throw a cheap plant from home depot or something in your mix before you put your ladies in there? Never a bad idea to gauge a new mix. I agree with Grease. You might run into problems by having too small of pots. Congrats on making the switch over to organics! P-

    soil help

Absolutely not. It's stupid soils like this that keep people in the dark about what goes into their soil. It's for this reason biosolids are sold in "organic" soil mixes at an alarming rate. I'll be that guy and say we need to stop being lazy, and pay attention to what goes both into our food...

    soil help

I respect he is trying to start a business, but he didn't do his homework. Imo, Phil is missing the boat. He's still stuck in the subtool super soil mentallity. Where are most of the nutrients found in a natural soil, at the very bottom of where the roots can inhabit, or in the top several...

    Teaming With Microbes......indoors

Lol, I know, I was cracking up when I was reading your list. I have two new silver mountain phenos in flower atm. The first pheno I ran a while back was extreme haze smell, the typical appalachia offspring bud structure - even on the heavier yielding side, with a much more knock down body stone...

    Teaming With Microbes......indoors

This round I a have a bed of blood orange (Which I also think is my Bodhi fav thus far), a couple dream lotus, a couple the fuzz, a couple silver mountain, a couple prayer tower and an ancient og lol. You could say I'm partial to Bodhi. :) Both Sunshine daydream and Blue Tara have the same...

    soil help

And do you like how they don't tell you anywhere what is actually in the soil? 100% organic ingredients that require pH down. Don't forget to fill your pots the rest of the way (approx 4/5) with sunshine or promix lmao! But this is not a subtool stupid soil mix... P-

Just an fyi, pretty sure Vermifire was bought out by Kellogg's (they should be nicknamed the biosolid company). I'd look to see a decline in the quality of their products. On a side note, General Hydroponics was sold to Monsanto. P-

Best Organic Nurtrient line for hydroponics?

Omg, I just added gallons of EWC to my soil! Is all that calcium carbonate going to screw my plants?! So you wanna explain how microbilogy doesn't affect pH? Yup, which is exactly what Phil is doing. Trying to sell his wanna be OMRI listed soil. P-

Best Organic Nurtrient line for hydroponics?

A couple of things; first off, High Times Magazine is not a credible source in the organic section. We prefer to read from people that actually know what they are talking about. Second, I don't own a pH meter. Third: Soil Biology and pH by Jeff Lowenfels The success of the AeroGarden, the...

Mycorrhiza Fungi...why you should get to know them...

I don't know about the best. It out performed great white in my garden (anecdotal), and I find it to be a good value ($25 a kilo). I've also heard good things about Bioag's VAM, but I've not tried it. Most mykos are produced by a few companies and then repackaged under all the various names. So...
