Azomite as replacement for Pro-TeKt (SiO2) in soil?

I seriously doubt it would contain petroleum. It allows things like hydrogen peroxide, chlorine for sanitation, etc. However, companies do lobby to have things added to the list. Far from a perfect system. P-

Azomite as replacement for Pro-TeKt (SiO2) in soil?

Maybe something to think about before using azomite.

    Worm Casting Question

Hi Toomp! Hope you have been well! I would compost all mammalian manure. Not only for pathogen suppression, but thermal composting will help to more quickly break down the rabbit pellets into the microbial goo that worms eat. A more seasoned shit veteran might tell you it's fine not to. I am by...

    Worm Casting Question

I'd be a little careful with 'pure rabbit pellets', but I think it would be awesome! If it were me I'd leave out the lime, SRP, and greensand. Go with rock dust, maybe some neem meal, crab meal, comfrey leaves or any dynamic accumlators, etc. I know people say you can use rabbit poo fresh, but...

Full-Humix(bioag) vs DTE Granular Humic Acid?

^^^ This. I also tend to think it is not a bad idea to go half strength on new amendments, and work your way up just to be safe. P-

    baking soil before using?

Wait... you mean I don't have to nuke my soil before I plant into it? But what if I get a bug in my soil?! Lol! I kind of have a feeling the amount of bugs crawling in my pots might freak a few people out around here. Peace! P-

Azomite as replacement for Pro-TeKt (SiO2) in soil?

Well, if Cannakis says you should use Acomite I'd go with that lol. I mean why would you want soluble potassium anyway? ;) Ye-haw P-

    Brewing comfrey tea

Or enzymes, pgr's, pgh's, etc. If you have molds on your leaves, I'd thermo and/or vermicompost those rather than using in a tea. My preference is to top dress or feed the worm bin with the comfrey. If I was going to do a foliar it would be aloe and kelp. If you have pests then I would be using...

    Brewing comfrey tea

I wouldn't use hot water per se. Often times the compounds we are looking for are destroyed by heat. P-

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

FFH it is my understanding the skin is perfectly fine for plant use. Something about humans not finding the skin palatable? I've done it for about a dozen sprayings now, and I've not seen any adverse effects. If you are willing, try it and let me know what you think. P-

DT, for fresh aloe I shoot for approximately one ounce of the goo per gallon. However, more times than not, I just cut a chunk of leaf off and blend it up. I've also stopped scrapping the goo out, I just blend the whole leaf up skin and all. As far as coconut water, I only use the powder at...

yucca root, sulfactant and wet betty

For a surfactant I'd use a little aloe instead. They also sell yucca powder which works well. As stated, quinoa has tons of saponins on the outside of the seed, and can be rinsed. P-

Alaskan Hummus in Subcool's SS ratio?

Vermicompost is the product or process of composting using various worms, usually red wigglers, white worms, and other earthworms to create a heterogeneous mixture of decomposing vegetable or food waste, bedding materials, and vermicast. Vermicast, also called worm castings, worm humus or worm...

Just to clarify, azamax is not really concentrated neem. It's an extraction of azadirachtin from the neem tree. Besides Azadirachtin there are several others (365 total) of which about 8% provide either insecticide or fungicide compounds (nimbin and salanin being the strongest pesticide from the...
