LED NOVICE ASKS - "What to SEEK and AVOID in a 1st LED???"

"They use 5w diodes and push them to 4! Getting 345 watts out of 400w is pretty friggin good for led. Lots of companies use 3w diodes and run them to 2 or 1w." They have to overdrive them because their "footprint" stinks. They run very warm by the way.

LED NOVICE ASKS - "What to SEEK and AVOID in a 1st LED???"

They have always used some white chips. Even their new lamps are old news. Don't take this the wrong way, (I own a CLW200) but for what they cost you could get an Advanced DS XML-350 or 2 Area51 XGS-190(for $50.00 more) that will destroy that Cali.

Cue the broken record...Go with Advanced, Area51 or Hans. UV is for flowering, but can veg also. HO is for veg. Those prices are high for Blackstars. Cheaper here; http://www.gothamhydroponics.com/grow-lights/gotham-hydro-led-grow-lights.html There are much better lamps than those Blackstars

Go with 2 lamps for versatility. If you want the CLW lamps, 2 of their newest ones would work; http://hydrobuilder.com/solarflare-220w-led-grow-light-bloom-booster.html I like Advanced lamps also. 2 DS200s or 2 of the DS XML150s would kick serious ass in there. And of course, there's Area51. 2...

The best way to think about it is in 2'x2' sections. So, the question is what would be best lamp be for $250.00 to cover a 2'x2'? I think with that budget there is only one choice. http://www.bonsaihero.com/ledgrow-led-panel-80-watt.html You would need 8 of them.

    Multi's Latest Hans Grow

It's chromed plastic. The whole thing looks like something you might get out of a box of Cracker Jacks, but don't let that fool you. They are badasses for small areas.

    LED Companies w/ LINKS

If you can believe what you read, some folks on the autoflower network forum and Dutch Passion blog are killing it with the GrowNorthern w/rebel modules lamps. They are Cidly lamps with GN spec'ed Epiled chips and GN designed pulsed drivers. Those Rebel modules are 100 quid a pop though...
