If your talking about the insulation, if it repeatedly is getting wet could be a good environment for mold to start to develop.

Get them right next to each other and use your ducting tape to connect them. The tape will act as your pipe.

Ummmmm the rosin press is gonna be happening sooner then I thought I think.... the more expensive part, the aluminum heating plates I found on a site for 18.99 that should be about 300$!? All their rosin presses seem to be miss-priced. Check out this pneumatic rosin press for under 30$? Huh lol...
