The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Kingbrite 288 v2 lm301b has a slightly lower price per diode than the lm561c fotops from meijiu. Which is great, since the efficiency is also better.

The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

You want 25-35 watts per square foot, so 625-875w. Do you want simple to set up? If so, these are a really good price for diode count, heatsinks, and spread. 3 fixtures on a 600w driver or 2 fixtures per 480w driver...

    UV Suppliment Lighting

Makes perfect sense. I lived at 6000+ ft above sea level (~2000m) and the extra UV would destroy (almost) everything you left outside.

    LED and room temp

Hey @HashBucket I've used LEDs at temperatures between 74-78°F and still hit 2+ grams per watt. I think it all depends on variety, some plants just like it hot, some do fine in the mid 70s.

    UV Suppliment Lighting

Has anyone here who uses reptile or agromax lamps ever had any PM whatsoever? I wonder if sufficient UV would also sanitize plant surfaces.

    New Apogee SQ-620/40 Quantum Meter

This is how I'm rolling, using the lux light meter app. If you wanna get fancy you then take lux and plug it into the apogee light converter app or find the conversion here. But data = repeatability

Kingbrite 301b with or without epistar 660nm ?

Except they do, my friend notthesnicklefritz got money back from them for a faulty board. He got six of the 240w units and one didn't work out of the box.

Kingbrite 301b with or without epistar 660nm ?

Buy drivers locally, where they can be returned under warranty if necessary. Shipping back to China for warranty is cost prohibitive, if they even take them back.

Kingbrite 301b with or without epistar 660nm ?

I would go with 3 of these boards and a 600w driver for that space. IMO 5x5 would be pretty dim in the corners with your suggested lighting configuration. Boards...

The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Contact the marshal, here in Colorado it depends on how many employees and who has access to the area with devices. I own a mushroom farm and DIY'd low pressure steam sterilizers, they were approved by local marshal as long as it was owners who were handling them.

The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

That was one of my concerns. GC’s may be the best route. Less headache, American company. Here's another American option, this guy is super nice too. I follow him on IG, he's very humble and kind. https://www.budgetgrowlights.com/

    proper light measuring tool?

You need to use the lux light meter app and figure it out yourself if you want accurate measurements. Every light source has a different conversion factor, so even taking measurements on a PAR meter won't yield accurate results. This thread will teach you how to convert from lux to PAR to...

The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Awesome, thanks again. I got the name brand Wagos from Amazon, writing on the box is in English. Got my drivers from Mouser too, no sense in buying something I can't return. Rating on the back says 24-32a, depending on the conductor gauge. Glad I got the 5 wire version, since 2 will come from...

The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

I just got my drivers, little confused with the double output on the 600b-48a. Do I only use one output or do I attach a line for both leading into the Wago?

The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Got my 6 fotop 2s today, big thanks to everyone in this thread. I went with heatsinks since they're gonna run at 200w. Upon close inspection, they appear to be legitimate lm301b, but no way to tell the bin. Going to be doing 2 4x10 rows, each with 2x 600w hps and 3 fotop boards in parallel...

fuck the haters, they're just dealing with a serious case of butthurt because there's another fixture that's equivalent to theirs and they are doing what they're doing for the purpose of ego. what's funny about the entire thing is they're (the butthurts) claiming that it's their idea, yada yada...

New alternative to the quantum bored bad to the bone

i actually run the photon fantom boards and i can say without a doubt that they kick ass. i run them at ~65w and the hottest one has ever been (taking data from my laser temp gun) is 102F, when i was just testing and had no air flow running into the tent. when i look at the other brands i can...

Safest food grade diy ph down

noob, there's always co2 in your water, it forms carbonic acid. it's called the carbon dioxide- carbonic acid equilibrium. the "chemistry" in here is making my head hurt. the safest food grade pH down would be citric acid. commonly available at grocery stores, you know, because it's food grade.
