I'll have a go at the answer, someone please correct me if I'm wrong! My understanding is that DB are the top bin 3500k CXB3590 available so they have the edge when it comes to efficacy, that's the bin I'd get..... If I didn't build my light the week before they were available, haha

Fun saturday afternoon building my mau5 kit from cutter

I converted two Mars reflector 96's with 6x cxb2530's per fixture, it was a great conversion and miles better than its standard blurple diodes. If I was to do it again I'd use Citizen Clu048 1212's. Spec'd pretty much the same as the cxb3590's but with a much nicer price tag. Quantum boards...

Some more progress has been made on one of these Mars reflector conversions. This one just received some reflectors and optics to help focus the light and even the spread. These panels have been amazing since adding the cxb2530's, thoroughly recommend this upgrade to any old blurple fixtures

That's awesome! It's like you read my mind, I was trying to find information about those very cobs in horticultural applications. That fixture is glorious, definitely going to enter the comp. Looks like it could be an awesome kit to sell as well

The draw is measured at the wall and we run 240v mains standard -I was with DSD when we did the conversions today- :cool:
