Well do tell ol' mate! We're here to learn. The way I see it, system design is about about balance. In my mini split and air-cooled HPS trailer, the ac dehumidifies as well as two bigs Sante Fe's. My girls are sweating out 25 gallons of water a day.... Trying to deal with this in my...

    Water cooled COB Build/pic heavy

We're working on, But cheap and water-cooling ........hmmmmmmm yeah, we're workin on it. The cheapest way really is to say fuck water-cooled lights and just water cool an LED lit room...... But wheres the fun in that. Boring! And, the big and, why can't the lights be the air handler as well...

    Water cooled COB Build/pic heavy

It doesn't even take that long. I forget the equation, But in testing 20 gallons on a 650w light was room temp from 50F in about 2 hrs.

    Water cooled COB Build/pic heavy

I thought about this as well. Where I am at with it, I am using the water to adjust the temp of the room, I'm not so concerned with cooling LED's. Control the heat at it's point of source, then figure out where to send it.

If you'll scroll back a few pages, you'll see my BTC MINER that was 50 650w basic miners all passively cooled with two car radiators and a 24" fan.

    Water cooled COB Build/pic heavy

Number 5 is the only change I made. I went with tinned stranded 18gau As you can see in the pic, where the little metal finger of the BJB holder strikes the cob, its not exactly on the money. In this pic you'll notice with the wire inserted it is cocked to the left.... Could have...

And what the fuck is up with these BJB holders being so finicky and the thermal pads.....these things are fuckin terribly delicate. definitely going back to thermal paste. These things have cost me 3 days of chasing open circuits!!!:cuss: :cuss::cuss:out of 24 cobs hooked up, 6 failed to light...

So @ttystikk, what would you do differently on your second room. We have different styles but environmental control is the same. It's seems from reading that you had a lil bit of hard time keeping the temp up. What would you do differently to fix that?

Watercooled Smart IC COB LED Build

I'm Planning to twist aluminum tape the length of my lights. Straight shot water blocks offer TERRIBLE thermal transfer. And custom made turbulaters are unrealistically expensive.

    Water cooled COB Build/pic heavy

I didn't ever notice it making that big of a difference. When we cooled this thing last winter It didn't seem to matter that we were pulling thru the radiator. I froze it up last winter cooling this do to low glycol content and lack of it being wired to temp sensor. But it crushed it hard. I...
