Before I jumped over to promix (you should too) I used FF ocean forest, was consistant and good soil IMHO. Although many forum members have stated they changed their mix and not for the better.

When it comes to perlite I usually pony up for the miricle grow, yeah its more expensive but as you have stated its clean. I also like the ziplock bags it comes in, keeps things tidy.

Well for me I have an entire case of hps bulbs I gotta burn through before I do the switch over to cob's though I do plan on switching as they seem perfect for a small footprint grow like my own. That may take a few years, will be interesting to see whats availible when I do :P

Correct me if I'm wrong but you don't want to use pollen on the same plant for seed stock. It should be applied to a female from a separate seed mother (not clones of the same plant) same strain OK but not the exact same plant/clone.
