A 6" inline fan will be sufficient to keep your 3x3 tent cool. Find a carbon filter with a similar CFM rating and you will be golden. I would also suggest getting a fan speed controller. I have a 3x3 tent grow in the link in my signature. Feel free to check it out and ask any questions...
