Maybe delay that afternoon watering a few hours so you're not hitting them with a bunch of cold water in the heat of the day? Plus a bunch probably just evaporates in those conditions. A healthy plant should be able to get through a hot day with a good dawn soaking. Just an idea if you're...

Agree that a thick mulch layer should help. They get a deep water early in the a.m.? I would soak them good before the sun rises then if necessary a late afternoon/early evening refresh. Consider adding a little potassium silicate to their water too, supposedly helps with drought/heat stress.

About a week and a half ago I moved my fabric pots under cover during any wet weather as the constant fog and rain was keeping them saturated and I was worried about root rot. Looks like I may have been too late on on the Pine Tar--pot is still a bit heavy and I'm noticing some droopy leaves...

Decent size for mid-July. You must've started those back in March or early April? What part of OK you in? Seems like a great climate, curious about the native soil.

Wow, Christmas comes early there in Oxford County, huh? Those autos or you still doing depo? Don't know about your neck of the woods but over here in the midcoast we went right back into fog and rainshowers yesterday and last night. Sun out a little bit this afternoon but supposed to get gray...

You've grown it before sounds like? What were the results? I chose it because I thought it might finish reasonably early and has that rugged Afghanistan/Pakistan mountain lineage. Plus I was intrigued by the terpene profile... These seeds came from some guys running an operation out of...

Looking good everyone. Getting on toward midsummer, here in coastal Maine we're stuck on a broken record of rain, drizzle, fog, more rain, fog, etc. Haven't had much blue sky here for going on 10 days. Plants are doing well but I did just discover my second incidence of root issues in a couple...

Wow, she's a beast all right. One of the Northern Lights showed its balls the other day, will try and harvest some pollen off it later this season and see if I can get some Northern Lights seeds (will toss some your way @thumper60 if successful). Been cold here lately--42 degrees last two...

No that picture was taken last June. Plants are outside but not in the ground yet--waiting until after Memorial Day for that.

Nice looking canines. Mine's no shepherd but he's an integral part of operations around here.

Things are moving right along for you. I've got everything outside at this point except for a new round of seedlings just germinating now. Weather has been superb since Friday. Having an absolute explosion of dog ticks though. Not sure I've ever seen it this bad, and it's been bad before. At...

Looks like we finally got some action out of those old seeds from @thumper60 on the second try: Rest of the gang has moved outside to a coldframe for some sunshine and breeze. Keeping the lid down at night, and good thing too as last night we had a ferocious nor'easter with hail, heavy...

Between breakfast and lunch you got a "turf & surf" going! Got a birthday coming up next week, maybe I should request a lobster dinner! I have a trap and some gear, one of these years I'm going to get a recreational license and try my luck.

Yes I always soak seeds overnight. We'll see how this round goes. Sounds like a good plan with the hoop house/cold frame.

Damn, you Oxford county boys don't mess around when it comes to breakfast. All I had was a measly bowl of oatmeal with blueberries (my doctor approves).

They look happy. Got cold here in Camden last night--but looks like a nice sunny day in store. When do you start leaving them out overnight? Mine are too small still but I'll probably start using a cold frame next week. BTW I planted another round of those seeds of yours--struck out completely...

Got some happy looking plants there. Way ahead of me...planted just before last week's full moon. Everything's come up (still waiting on yours, might take some extra time given those seeds were from a few years back), just seeing the second set of leaves start to emerge on some of them. Hot for...

And away we go.... Looking good everybody. Soaked my seeds the other night and planted in Espoma seed mix in 6-pack deep trays. After running Greenpoint cultivars the past 3 years--finished up the last of the packs I bought during the pandemic lockdown last season--this year I'm excited to...

OK, thanks, I may give them a shot then. Thinking about that orange skunk.

@thumper60 I'm looking at that seedback you mentioned, Getaway Mountain, they on Deer Isle? Anyway I found a thread on here where you had tried a bunch of their strains and had mold issues, plus you didn't seem to care for the plant structure. Didn't sound like a ringing endorsement. What...
