    Question about transplanting

I don't have direct experience in this but have read many times that it's a bad idea to transplant during flower. Not sure what the benefit would be...except maybe less frequent watering. I don't think the plant's going to grow much more vegetation at this point so it's not going to increase...

    2021 Badger Grow!

Agree that doesn't look systemic--very localized damage. Certainly shouldn't slow the plant down much. You getting many pale or yellowing leaves down below/inside canopy?

Getting some yellow leaves on all my plants

I don't think it needs to be too much. I usually add about 1/8C in a 5 gallon batch of compost tea. I probably apply compost tea every 2 weeks or so and use the molasses every time.

Getting some yellow leaves on all my plants

I like it. Use it in most teas. Feeds microbes in the soil, and when they're happy the plants are happy! Basically the more healthy soil life you have in the root zone the better and molasses helps those critters thrive and multiply. Haven't had any bug issues yet.

Getting some yellow leaves on all my plants

Most in ground, a few in 10g smart pots. Which soil did you use? Some of them like Coast of Maine's Stonington Blend are premixed with all kinds of organic nutrients for your plants but depending on container size those will run out eventually. Then you need to add more. You can either buy the...

Getting some yellow leaves on all my plants

I wouldn"t panic. Some of mine are doing that. Those fans especially below will give up all rheir nutrients to the plant, yellow, die, and fall off in the final weeks. Not much stress to the plant if you remove them once decay sets in. Ideally it would stay greener in early flower. Maybe it ran...

Actually potassium silicate as foliar is probably not a good idea during flower as I've heard it can affect flavor of the buds. I think I've seen some pistils turn brown from potassium bicarbonate, I would try to avoid spraying the buds but of course easier said than done.

    Maine 2021

I've had good luck with foliar application of potassium bicarbonate. Also adding potassium silicate to their water (1/2t/g) seems to help, there's research backing that up and plenty of anecdotal evidence.

    Maine 2021

No signs of PM anywhere around here despite the dampness and fog (knock on wood). Doubt putting your plants out late delays flowering--but weather and genetic variation seem to play a role.

    Maine 2021

Maybe last year was just exceptional growing weather for this region? Sure had a lot of sun. Right now it's humid as f__k and going to be scorching hot this week. Can't wait for those cool September nights and crisp days. Hopefully we don't get too smoked out by the fires out west but I'm sure...

    Maine 2021

End of summer update: stretch is just finishing now, about half the plants throwing pistils now. Seems slightly later than last year. Overall vegetative growth definitely less than last year--no 10 footers, looking more like 6-7 footers. And not as bushy either. We had a lot less sun this summer...

New to CBD and need a little direction.

I tried growing a cherry wine plant last year and it worked out great. Picked up some seeds from greenpoint. Didn't lab test the flower but I was able to take her through Columbus Day and based on tests reported by other CW growers CBD was probably close to 20%. Very nice effects. This year I...

A little composted manure would probably be OK. Don't overdo the N at this stage though or you might delay/impede flowering. Could also try a tea with something added that has trace minerals/micronutrients or do a foliar spray--quick uptake by the plant would probably confirm whether you've...

    malted barley topdress or tea?

So I ran across an interview with Clackamas Coot talking with some folks at KIS Organics and he extols the benefits of topdressing with malted barley: says you get thicker, stronger stems and bigger buds, plus a faster finish in flower. Supposedly the microbes in the soil love it and the enzymes...

Weed porn from Toronto area - flowering already

Those in the ground? They look good. Not sure sprouted tea alone will power them through this key phase. They want phosphorus and potassium at this stage plus a little nitrogen (but not too much). Fish hydrolysate would work.

    Duck pond water?

Alright, I just watered everything today but later this week I'll give it a try and report back. My hunch is they will absolutely love the stuff.
