    Help - Pollination? ???

The bananas create pollen which sticks to the white pistils when it is released. One banana has enough pollen to make hundreds of seeds. If you see an open pollen sac you likely will have some seeded bud. Catch them early and you could make it to harvest cleanly...

    Help - Pollination? ???

It is normal for some strains. Pluck them off with some tweezers. Check them every other day and pluck them as soon as you spot them.

    Cascadian's Continuing Grow Journal 600 Watt 5X5

Yeah, wanted to but it's complicated. She basically knew it wasn't being used and that I was home. So either I am being a dick or I let her use it. Sometimes it sucks owning a truck, people always needing help to move or asking to borrow it. And returning it with less gas than it had in...

    Cascadian's Continuing Grow Journal 600 Watt 5X5

Just my luck, a friend texted me and needs to borrow my truck (she doesn't know I grow). Had to stop the "pre-trimming" process and button up the basement, all plants back in the tent. Opened all the windows, and sprayed potpourri air freshener everywhere. Hoping I can hand off the keys...

    Cascadian's Continuing Grow Journal 600 Watt 5X5

Edit: Crushing mites not aphids with my fingers in the last post... looks like the edit function disappears pretty quick now. Anyway, today is chopping day! It is day 60 or 8 1/2 weeks of flower time. The timing just works with drying through next week and doing some trimming next weekend...

    could really use some advice

I agree on waiting before righting them off. Also, dont put any kind of humidity dome/plastic over a seedling. Greatly increases the chance for the stem to rot. I recently got 3 amnesia autos, 1 haze 2 auto, and one critical plus 2 auto from dinafem. They all germinated and made it. Just...

Late night at the cove -extra cheezy edition

Yeah, good idea not to let them get out of hand. They are called "fungus" gnats for a reason, I am convinced they are what spread a mysterious fungus to some clones and killed them a few months back. Not too spendy, if I remember right they were about $10-12 for a 6 pack of them at HD. They...

Late night at the cove -extra cheezy edition

Joe knows his way around bug issues for sure! What has always worked for me pretty quickly to kill fungus gnats is mosquito dunks. Fill up a 5 gallon bucket with about 3-4 gallons of water and drop one dunk in, let it sit for 12-24 hours stirring whenever you get the chance. Then just...

    question about pollen for breeding

That pollen will make feminized seeds but the seeds will not be identical to the mother plant. There are recessive traits that when crossed to the same plant will express in the offspring. It will be close but don't expect a "clone in seed form". If you use colloidal silver you will "reduce"...

Northern Growers - What are you running this season?

I'm at 47.5 latitude. Growing outdoors for the first time in a few years. Mold and finishing on time/before the rain is the big challenge here. Doing an indoor breeding project for outdoor seeds right now. Making some Holland's Hope Feminized as well as some feminized autos and crosses of HH...

    Best Outdoor Seed Strain???

Tristy, thanks for the review on the Guerilla's Gusto seeds. Sounds like Kaya Gold is solid plant, from Nirvana's description it sounds like the kind of plant I am looking for. Might be interesting to cross it with Hollands Hope...

    Life insurance for a stoner

Sorry you are dealing with insurance co b.s. Did you list the medical reason for having a card on the app? They are probably just trying to match up what ailment you "claimed" on your MMJ app vs your other records. Some people make medical ailments up to get their card (not saying you did at...

    Best Outdoor Seed Strain???

Just took a look at the sensi outdoor mix. Looks good, but they do include autoflower seeds in that mix. Their guerillas gusto looks promising. Might be buying that one for next year... HG, were you able to identify the gorillas gusto plants when you grew the mix? If so what did you think of...

    Best Outdoor Seed Strain???

Holland's Hope is a pure indica bred for pest and mold resistance. The strain has been around since the mid 80's. Also supposed to be an early finisher. Growing it indoors at the moment for seeds. Not impressed with its indoor performance but will reserve judgment until I grow it outdoors. I...

    Ona gel

Ona won't cover the smell later in flower imo. I use an ona bucket, ozone generator and a filter. Late in flower I can still smell them walking up the steps to my house sometimes. Growing in a 5x5... Find a way to make room for a filter if you want smell suppression, there is no substitute...

    Help...what did I do wrong???

Yeah, i would try to prop it up a little bit, but like was said above it is likely a gonner. Never seen a seedling that started to have the stem rot at the soil line make it. Usually this is because the soil was kept too moist. Next time use a different seed starter soil, that stuff doesn't...

Yeah man, any bug the bleach hits should die quickly! The trick is getting it into all the cracks and crevices.

My temp gauge is not even under the light it is sitting on the fan in the corner, I bet my tent was hitting 95 at the canopy as well. Just checked the forcast looks like after tomorrow we will get some lower temps for about a week...

Late night at the cove -extra cheezy edition

When I have bleached, I usually just wait 30-40 minutes before moving them back in. I figure the fumes are just going to evaporate anyway. Never had an adverse reaction from the plants. My tent hit a high of 91 today. Cranked up the fan a bit, hope it helps. No burning or bad reaction...
