FlushingVsNotFlushing & Chlorophyll Breakdown (Help a fellow Newbie/wanabie Gromie)

I postulate differently, to me smoking a greener pigment is harsher than smoking a lesser green. 27 years of first hand scientific experimentation lead me to believe this. Interesting study and I'm sure everything is correct but doesn't disprove any of what i'm saying. Different cultivars...

FlushingVsNotFlushing & Chlorophyll Breakdown (Help a fellow Newbie/wanabie Gromie)

that's not what I'm referring to when i said "fade". I used the wrong terminology. I'm not sure how to explain it, are you familiar with the natural marijuana flowering cycle, where the leaves naturally yellow and fall off? That's what i'm talking about, when you don't get that because you are...

You told me i was wrong and then linked a long ass article that wasn't relevant? did you link the wrong article, or did you not read it yourself?

FlushingVsNotFlushing & Chlorophyll Breakdown (Help a fellow Newbie/wanabie Gromie)

I'm just saying, when you starve the plant it forces the plant to use up the chlorophyll and chloroplast as food. If you were overfeeding with synthetic nute and your plants is more green than she would be naturally she is going to take much longer to cure if you don't flush her. I've...

FlushingVsNotFlushing & Chlorophyll Breakdown (Help a fellow Newbie/wanabie Gromie)

I read through that, interesting stuff. Consistent with what I find to be true. Do you have any studies relevant to chlorophyll and harshness of smoke and what I am talking about in regards to flushing?

that research paper isn't relevant to anything that i'm saying. Give me a page number anywhere on there, that it talks about chlorophyll

I see that I'm using the wrong terminology, so I probably look like a noob to you guys. By fade I mean yellowing and losing of the leaves. haha, might be a noob, but glad i'm not an asshat :)

FlushingVsNotFlushing & Chlorophyll Breakdown (Help a fellow Newbie/wanabie Gromie)

I'm not going to bother reading it, because I don't flush. That's a research paper that I'm not interested in. I'm sure it has the same nutrients or whatever the paper is trying to prove. It's the chlorophyll that's harsh, you can actually see with your eyes, as it breaks down it changes...

I don't. I smoke her right through the harvest and curing process depending on strain now. I just like to taste her develop, not smoke her too heavily. When I grew in coco, I would have to wait have to wait months before I could even take a hit. My coco girls were feed heavy with no flush and...

FlushingVsNotFlushing & Chlorophyll Breakdown (Help a fellow Newbie/wanabie Gromie)

No, basically what i'm saying is if your growing with synthetics and your plant is not properly faded. She is going to take a lot longer to cure. The subpar growers are the ones who need to flush. If you're in synthetics and using your line properly, and getting a good fade, the curing...

FlushingVsNotFlushing & Chlorophyll Breakdown (Help a fellow Newbie/wanabie Gromie)

really? You remove all the leaf material when you trim? Do you know the bud grows around leaves? I have never in my life smoked weed that hasn't had some form of leaf in it. It's not ideal to starve the plant the last 2 weeks. You'll def get a better expression if you don't, and let it...

FlushingVsNotFlushing & Chlorophyll Breakdown (Help a fellow Newbie/wanabie Gromie)

One of the thing curing does is break down the chlorophyll, and that is why the smoke becomes less harsh. You can visibly observe the chlorophyll disappearing from your plant as you flush. You will have to wait a lot longer for that chlorophyll to break down if you don't flush.

    Compost teas

I don't think it's possible to make it twice as strong. But it would be fine to dilute it. I think it would be easier to lightly water your plants before applying the tea than diluting it. If diluting, I would add some additional molasses to the mix or pre-water. Not needed, but why not...

    How to maximise yield

There's some good lollipopping and defoliation tutoriols on www.growweedeasy.com, much better than how I could explain. I remove the lower 1/3rd, all the branches everything, that doesn't reach up into the canopy. Your plant is going to grow the same amount of bud, the buds where there is more...

    How often do you calmag?

It's just something along the lines of the plant growth will being limited if it is deficient in any essential nutrient. It can't use all that nitrogen you're giving it, if it's deficient in calcium or whatever, because that's the limiting factor. So I would always mix nutes the same gallon...

    How to maximise yield

No problem, glad I could be of some help. I don't have any experience with lights other than LED's so I can't be of assistance. For LED's it as simple as hang it at the factory recommendation. Not sure where you could find that information for your lights. Your girls look good, but if you do...

    How often do you calmag?

Never, because I grow in a super soil. When I grew in coco, I used it every time I feed. If i used synthetics in soil, I would also use that every time, because of Liebig's Law of the Minimum.

    How to maximise yield

there is a stretch period during the first few weeks of flower. You won't know how big until you grow that genetic in your environment. If you spread her out more as she stretches, she will fill out most of that fence. I would mostly flip her now, because I think your fence is going to make...
