Seedlings and a new quantum board

Honestly that is a loaded question because there are so many variables... Strain, Genetics, etc. A simple answer would be start slow and ramp up watching for any stress or light burn. Your leaves and plant will let you know. Personally I aim for 300-600 in veg (early to late) and in bloom...

Seedlings and a new quantum board

Recommended PPFD for a seedling is about 100-300. Easy way to calculate roughly what you are putting out with that light is it to take the μmoles and multiply it by wattage. This will give you a pretty good idea of what wattage you need to run to get the max results...I believe those boards are...

Cream manderine 4x2 quantum board grow

I made an excel sheet and calculated the rough ppfd at different heights and dimming power. i used that to figure out my target for veg and flower.

Cream manderine 4x2 quantum board grow

I am running 4x qb288 3000k on a dimmer... I can only tell you from my experience @ 24inches the 280W should be fine in veg. I didn't have any light burn issues and my layout is in a 3x3 tent with the boards mounted in a square configuration.

The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

I use the same dimmer and for the other guys yet to use this dimmer make sure you plug it in to a constant power source. Do not use a timer. It needs power 24/7.

    Small fluffy buds

I grew with the Blurple lights in the past so can relate to your post. Those lights don't provide the PPF, PPFD, and photon efficiency required by the plant to grow big chunky buds. Your light will grow something but if you're not happy, maybe it's time to consider an upgrade?. I tried googling...

    Dyna-Gro Test

I like it. I have been using it for awhile now.... I'm using tap water though and as long as the water schedule and nute strength is dialled in it works great.

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

I should mention as well that I am not claiming this identical to the HLG550 but it's meant as a replica and performance seems very good so far. I am not sure yet if the real thing would make up the price difference for my situation

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

I can't actually send any links cuz I am new here, but if you have any insight on the attachments you can share what you think. I got a lot of the info from a grass city forum called 'alternative to hog quantum boards....the supplier'. I kept the attached files for future reference. This...

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

I did a bunch of research and from what I found Meijiui was a legit source for top bin supplies. They sent me test reports and pictures of the Samsung sealed products they were using in the 480W LM310b boards. It was more pricey then some other vendors but the quality is surprisingly good!

HLG550 Dimming, Distance and what it means to you

Thanks for the tip... I was actually considering adding some side vertical strips on each corner of the tent, but it seems to me like it might be a bit of overkill for a 3x3 area with the light I have now. I typically use a Mainline or Scrog method anyways. This seems like a good consideration...

HLG550 Dimming, Distance and what it means to you

Unfortunately this is the sad reality of our economy today. Where would Auto Manufacturers be today if they didn't all copy the invention of the internal combustion engine? Companies copy each others design and innovations all the time, this is how we progress as a society. Samsung invented...

HLG550 Dimming, Distance and what it means to you

All jokes aside guys, HLG is using Samsung LM301B diodes and that is what the post pertains too. This isn't a discussion about ethics or getting the 'real thing'. Assuming they are real would the picture I posted in the first post of this thread be accurate? I don't take anything personally...

HLG550 Dimming, Distance and what it means to you

Hello Guys, Long time lurker here.... With legalization legal in Canada Eh I decided to take the plunge and purchase the supplies to make an HLG550 replica from the legit source on Alibaba. This setup is being used in a 3ftx3ft tent. I understand I probably don't want to run more then 35W...
