if you use miracle grow i would invest in a PPM meter. Its the best money ive ever spent. You can get a TDS meter for under 30 bucks and it seriously eliminated 90% of my problems cause i can measure it exactly and WOW does it make a difference.

if you can, go for a 3 part system, but if you cant get something that is high P and K. Make sure you add some sort of sugar (honey, brown sugar, molasses). It makes a big difference in the size of the buds, more then some fertalizers

ya 3-4 inches is a good estimate if they are growing fast, they are also going to grow out too

HID generally give out 1.5 to 2x more lumens then CFLS, so you can half your wattage if you switch. I still grow wicked weed with CFLs though, so its not a necessity. Hope this helps. Happy Growing!

always flush your plants before you re-fertalize so that the nutrients it doesnt use will be flushed out and not allowed to build up

use that sheet metal in a roll. its cheap and its pre-bent in a parabola shape and you can cut it with a pocket knife or something else

it shouldnt take 3-4 weeks, and the gel or powder is a hormone so it does help it sprout roots

roots can take from 5-14 days, id keep the light on from 16-18 hours cause the roots grow at night. cheers
