I've used rockwool, jiffy plugs(peat),and this last time soil. I just started them in solos and transplanted to hydroton. It all works...pick one that your good with and go with it. I've put them in hydroton as early as a few days to a few weeks.....all worked....although I do think the earlier...

I run flood and flood and drain with hydroton and haven't seen a gnat in that tent since. Using an Aircube system from Growace and my only complaint is too much growth in it...I have to deliberately stunt plants to keep them from going wild.

Day 20f grown in 1 gal bag of FFHF, Jacks 321, Mars Hydro fc8000 with uv/ir bars. Frosty as hell already....no drama grow so far.

New kitchen grow! Good Shit has been harvested along with the rest of the solo girls....everything grown in the kitchen is terpy as hell....I guess the 72f temps help that. Looks like the Good Shit is going to yield right around a lb dry. New plants are a CBD auto from Phoenix seed on the wick...

White Gen3's in 3x3 are getting close...harvested one early when I saw what I thought was a spot of pm.....but it wasn't. :wall: But! I'm happy it wasn't!

Snow Candy girls are getting frosty already...I'll get some closeups next week. Got the seedlings elevated to get as much dli as they can in 12/12...seem to be doing ok.

Hydro girls moving along...front right still has issues but continues to grow :eyesmoke:

I got the cheap RO buddie 3 stage from Amazon and it knocks it down to around 100ppm. I used it that way for a few grows and later added the 4th to get to 0ppm. My tap is around 400. 4 x 200w in a 5x5 will work fine to start. If your like everybody else you'll soon have multiple tents and you'll find good use for the ones your starting with. Up side is being able to adjust for individual plants.....down side is 4 lights to mess with.

Yep....just careful not to move it so roots can get started. I keep airstones in mine but I've seen others go without. I think the air helps personally.

Yes....unless you have over fertilized flushing will do nothing except starve the plant for last week or so of it's life.
