I think flushing for nearly 2 weeks is for all types of grows, not mostly just for hydro. Don't forget that causing some minor stress for the plant helps produce thc resin which is a natural defensive measure. Pot that was not flushed properly will taste harsher than pot that was flushed.

Thanks for the report. Do you think the unit is defective? You may have a clogged screen. Also, it helps to turn/rotate your herbs after each rip that way the parts by the hot screen don't dry up too quickly and become prone to catching fire. I know that might sound like a hassle, but it helps...
