1st reply! thanks for taking the time... i don't really want to spend any cash atm, what did you think of the last set of pics, i can see some amber but struggling to tell much difference between clear/cloudy...

cheers everyone, useful info - though i shoulda just looked on the ballast which says sodium/halide! i was too lazy to walk across my room and slide my bed out of the way... i finally set up a journal for my current grow, check it out... lots of pics from start to week 8 flowering...

thats as far as I am right now, feel free to post comment, suggestions etc... if you're any good at spotting when the trich's show its ready for harvest it would be much appreciated, as mentioned earlier, i plan on flushing one that looks the furthest done in the next day or two...

(again at around week 8) I played around with my DSLR and extension tubes today to get some super close up photos of the trichromes to see how they're progressing. i can see a good number of cloudy trichs, but i think i can still see a number of clear ones...

now just about week 8 (approx) and they're starting to fatten up rather nicely! a couple of minor nutrient problems over the last couple of weeks but nothing affecting the buds, just fan leaves... i've been loving the massive 'baseball bat' of a cola on my fav plant! the other un-topped plant...

by week 7 however, they'd started bulking up nicely! no more worries, just a waiting game now...

i've got a grolux dual spectrum hps. is that the sort of thing you mean? i was wanting the MH because they've got more UV output - should help create more thc at the end of flowering...

at about 1.5 weeks into flowering (with the light nice and close and the fan replacing the air every 10 min or so!) they started their growth spurt and its apparent where the tops will start to form...

put them into flowering at this point - introduced the 400w but gradually lowering it over the space of a 4 days - they loved it! topped two of the plants to experiment, since the height of my cupboard is a concern (and general space, its only 74x45cm floor plan). Topped the two taller plants...

I have a 400w HPS and was wondering if i'd be able to buy a 400w MH bulb and just use the same (400w) ballast? the plan is to switch bulbs every other day so the plants get a varied spectrum, but i can't afford another ballast just for a MH light...

i'm not the biggest fan of cuttings because of the effort associated with trying to get the massive single cola, its not always easy... i don't rate lowryder... its an autoflowering plant which means it doesn't need 12/12, it will flower regardless of light timing and therefore its best suited...

My genetics knowledge is limited but it would surely be worth a try! You might have to germinate a LOT of the seeds created before the trait shows up again though Imagine if you did this for a few generations and were able to stabilize the phenomenon, extra bud per plant!!! I've seen another...

only ever had one problem with DrC, i'd ordered 5x Fem GHS Cheese and 5x Fem Barneys Morning Glory... received 2 types of cheese seeds (the ones i hadn't ordered were worth less than the morning glory) so emailed them straight away and sent the wrong ones back... DrC sent the correct morning...

i've often wondered about this - used it on one of my jars a while back and didn't notice any difference in taste, and it did dry a bit quicker than the rest... could be a good preventative for bud rot in the jars? just as a precaution (in case it does do something) i sellotaped a silica gel...

been flowering for bout 7 weeks now (maybe 6.5) i haven't been lookin at the dates.... you dont need amazing lenses, just get a DSLR and then buy some 'extension tubes' (my cam is a the canon 350d, that bout 4 yrs old or more, its not about the megapixels (mine is just 8mp), just get a DSLR...
