I am growing in a pot outside and i have recently noticed small roots growing up from the soil. There are roots growing down to the holes on the bottom. I am telling myself that this is due to over-watering perhaps, since my area has had some rainfall recently. I just want to know for sure...

thanks for the replies, i figured there was alot of work involved. so what i understand i if i force them to flower i would be better to leave them inside a shed or something and time the lights? can i do this to my plant already growing outside without complications?

I was thinking about forcing my plant into flowering. I am growing it outdoors in a planter. I was wondering if this is a good idea, from what i understand i will end up with a small plant....not sure though..... What i am asking is if i do this can i continue leaving it outside afterwards...
