Flowering

I am growing outdoors. I have 2 females unknown strain. The stronger one has had pre-flowers for 3-5 days now (to the naked eye). 2nd is starting to pre-flower has calyx but no hairs visible yet.
I was wondering if someone could explain this for me.
I am in an area that has 15 hours of light right now. I am confused as to are my buds going to grow or will pre-flowers stay small untill 12/12???
Are pre-flowers part of veg?????

pre flowers are letting you no that the plant is mature, you still got to wait till there is more hours of dark to bud, mine have pre plowers and there still on 24 hours of light (indoor grow)

it just means its time. being in ohio you have shorter days now like me in michigan, my plants started showing about 2 weeks ago. just keep an eye on them to make sure they are both female. it wont be long now till they really take off and flower.

12/12 isnt needed outside. Relax, youll be fine. Preflowers are a sign of a plant being mature enough to go right into flowering when the light becomes suitable, which is either the days getting shorter outside or switching to 12/12 inside. In the next week or 2 your probally gonna see flowering starting up pretty good.
