I run my pump 24/7, no dome. Just as westcoast pointed out, your system needs cleaned. Again, I use a little bleach, don't over do it. I use 1/2 cup to a 10 gallon res. I clean my pucks in my clothes washer on warm water in gentle cycle, bleach only.

I haven't read all of the responses here, but I've been running a aero cloner for over a decade. I ran into stem rot after about the 4th or 5th run through the cloner, only cleaning with soap and water.....Now, after each use, I add 1/2 cup of bleach in the cloner and let it run for about 1/2...
