Difficulty cloning using same method as ALWAYS.

Curious if anyone else is having issues cloning this time of year? Don't know what it is but for some reason, the aero sprayer 5gal bucket I made years ago is yielding nothing but jello stems for me? Bout to lose my fav strain sin mint as it's 2 weeks into flower now and I don't got a clone of her yet. I'm pretty pissed. I figure I got about 2-4 more days before its too late. I took lower branches as they weren't as developed hormonely but I'm thinking tops are the better option.

Any ideas as to why I'm failing clones that usually root NO MATTER WHAT?

P.s., I figured as the stems were getting soggy, the 15/15 on off schedule was causing it so I backed off to 15on every HR.(one button pushed down per HR on a standard analog timer) buy am still having the same issue. I wonder if I took the dome off too early? Didn't keep the tips wet enough? I did definitely lack a bit in spraying with ro water the fresh foliage to keep it moist. I usually go in daily and do that for about 5 days, then stop, then another 3-4 days remove the dome completely.

I use non PH'ed tap water, pump 24/7, minimal light source, no additives.

Well this run, without spraying, I noticed everything above the collars was dried out and dead.
I'm currently disinfecting everything that goes with the cloner.
Bucket, collars, lid, pump, filter bag, and spray manifold. All in a hot water bleach solution.
Going to let it sit over night, rinse it all off well tomorrow, and try again. All I can do is keep trying!
Also going to use a BRAND new blade for cuttings.

Everything has been robbed, dried, and re cut. Things look good this time. I've got higher hopes. Those cuts from the flowering plants are sure far along though.... As long as I can keep the genetics, I'll be happy. I'm not necessarily in need of clones for next run. As long as they grow out of it and get back to vegging and get big, all is well.

Youve got pythium in your system and it will continue to rot your stems till you clean your cloner properly. You should be disasembling the cloner after every run, cleaning it with bleach then running the cloner with a high bleach % for at least 24 hours. Also you dont need 15 min on time, you could use that but the shorter the on time the less chance of rot if you already have pythium rot issues. I would have your on time as 30 seconds.

I haven't read all of the responses here, but I've been running a aero cloner for over a decade. I ran into stem rot after about the 4th or 5th run through the cloner, only cleaning with soap and water.....Now, after each use, I add 1/2 cup of bleach in the cloner and let it run for about 1/2 hour before I clean with soap/water. Problem gone....also, back the lights up, they do not need much until roots appear.

I run my pump 24/7, no dome. Just as westcoast pointed out, your system needs cleaned. Again, I use a little bleach, don't over do it. I use 1/2 cup to a 10 gallon res. I clean my pucks in my clothes washer on warm water in gentle cycle,
bleach only.

Thats another thing i forgot to mention was you need to clean the collars too as u said, I spray mine off and then soak in bleach water overnight. I used to run the pump non stop but found I have less issues with any stem rot when its only on small periods of time.

Physan 20 is a much better way to sanitize your equipment. A little goes a long way, use as directed. don't get the concentrate on your skin. It breaks down into a plant food. It will kill any and all pathogens.

I do know, if you dip in gel or powder, you will get jelly stems. I did and i definitely happened. I cut the jelly shit off, pushed stem under collars, 5 days i had roots everywhere

what i have learned is keep it k.i.s.s keep it simple and sweet lol rock wool cubes heat pad and a dome mate i use a set top box ;) cloning powder if u like 5-7 days roots

Disinfect your cloner with bleach or a quarternary ammonium compound, both work. I also run chlorine in my cloner (small amounts). There's a recipe on the site for diluting pool shock (calcium hypochlorite), that works nicely https://www.rollitup.org/t/make-2200-worth-of-clear-rez-for-4.423650/#post-5566317. Keep the water in your cloner cool. Above 78 you get rot a lot faster. I run a 4 minute off 1 minute on cycle time and you don't need a humidity dome.

I've come to the realization that I've had a tad too much water in my bucket. The temp wasn't high enough with the water being sprayed. I used a new pump that required more water to be added but now ive just used less this run and I think were in business.
The water was too much a volume for the pump to warm up sufficiently and the bare stems were being sprayed with some pretty dang cold water.
The tops and everything above the collars where it's in the dome, under the lights, warm n cozy, was healthy and green, yet right where the stem goes in to the collar and down, it'd turn to mush. So I'm fairly confident that is my issue. I've always used that same, low profile pump, not realizing how huge a part it played in the overall success of the system as it caused me to use quite a bit less water than ive been using.
Plants nearly 4 weeks into flower, but I'm still gonna take cuttings tomorrow and hope for the best. Any further time and they'll just be too far gone.

I filled my bathtub full of a bleach hot water mix and soaked everything overnighg in it a few days back.
Rinsed it all off, ran the pump in some fresh water, and we're back on track.

They're back. At the exact, and I mean Exact, same time as they happened last year.
There's your problem, Lady.

Monterey Garden spinosad has been sprayed. Foliage has been cut way back on the moms.

It's my fault. I let the moms get too big and too much under growth and dying foliage built up.
They're such a bitch.
May have to restart with some seeds.
Hope not.....
