    I wouldn't advise chopping the whole top of the plant, this could cause a lot of the stress to plant, if the top looks done, the rest shouldn't be too far off, just sit it out and be patient - good things come to those who wait;-)

    will try the epsom salts and give it another week or so, see if it gets any better, although the new growth doesnt seem to be affected as much, since i have raised the light. Thanks for the advice :blsmoke:

    i haven't started using nutes yet as the soil is supposed to have enough nutes to last 5 weeks, do you thing i should start with the nutes now? This is the 1st time i have used this soil, never had problems before so im guessing the problems with soil, although i was pretty sure it was heat stress.

    Yea i got myself a 200w envirolite (cfl) of e-bay a while back - i use it just for vegging but you can use them all the way through, they do them in blue and red spectrums aswell, not very expensive either, i think i paid around £40 for mine.

    Don't worry about too much sunlight, the more they get the bigger they will grow, just make sure you keep them well watered, if you have a moisture meter work from that, if not then try watering every time the top 2 inches of soil drys out. Good luck on the grow!

    Get yourself some better lighting - a mh or at least 200w worth of cfl's, personally for vegging i use a 200w envirolite which works a treat, the benifit of using one of these is you can have the light about 3 inch from the top of the plant which produces tight nodes. also try and get a fan...
